It seems to me that it's become a habit to write in the late evening hours. And I told myself I'd go to bed early today, too. Well, at least I have productivity on my side!

So, I'm dropping my Astronomy class and lab. I feel horrendously guilty for doing so, considering I'm an academic nerd and have never done something like quit before. To me, that's like failure. But I don't honestly see how I can make it through the semester with my health intact, should I continue on. And I honestly don't know why I had decided taking Astronomy was a good idea in the first place.

My brain is seriously not wired for science. It should only take about an hour to do those weekly homework assignments, and yet it takes me four. This should be my easy slide-through class, considering how hard I need to work for my Japanese credits. Plus the fact that I'm studying for the JLPT this semester, and I need to finish my service project for Freeman-Asia by December...not to mention the fact that I need two jobs just to earn tuition for next year and summer!

So, the four hours that it takes me to do my Astronomy homework...in addition to the extra several hours it takes me to comprehend the readings in order to do my Astronomy homework...I'm not sure if it's worth it anymore. I should just stick to Chemistry...at least that's familiar to me and I can do basic chemistry really easily.

I'll get a W on my transcript, meaning I withdrew late from the class. But it won't affect anything since my major is Japanese and has nothing to do with science.

I'm just upset with myself because I've never been a quitter. But after IB, I've learned how to accept my limits. I've just never had to put them to the test like this.

Well, other than that bit of anxiety...I'm actually extremely happy to not have Astronomy. I feel like a bit of a slacker with only 12 credits...but the next year and a half will be crammed with coursework so I should probably take this time to really study for the JLPT and focus on getting jobs, and earning money. I'm going to definitely need it!

I spent all evening working on my academic future. I can't believe so many of my credits simply did not transfer over to UH. Or rather, they did, but just as generic credit. So I'm basically having to restart all my gen. ed. requirements.

Sigh.

Oh well. It's the price I pay for being able to take all these wonderful Japanese classes. I'm seriously loving my coursework. I only wish I actually had the time to focus purely on Japanese. And now that I'm dropping Astronomy...I'll have just a little more. Which is the silver lining, really.

I wish I could have called Arlet back today.

lol, omg, am in one of the uni computer labs (erg, I don't like the computer classes. they're rather useless. easy credits though, so it's okay anyway) and there is a guy who is staring at his computer screen like this; O.O as though he's found out he has three seconds left to live and is about to piss himself. but anyway.

haven't gained any weight (yay!), but haven't lost any either (woe). um, idek where to start from. so I'm going to start on my birthday. ehehe. >.> the best bit was how I ended the night; drinking midori, pms-ing, watching the news and bugging J-chan. that girl has to put up with a lot. ♥ the crazy lady from creative writing followed us to macbob where she proceeded to move our bags (to take our seats) and blow out the candles. so I moved our bags back and brought over candles from another table. I avoided blowing up in her face, but if she had commented on it that day, I would have given her a piece of my mind. in a very loud, obnoxious way. that woman just rubs me the wrong way. plus, she thinks she is the God of Writing. (yes, with the capitations) and nobody else is allowed to have an opinion. stupid old lady. die nao prz.

people were really surprised I wasn't getting shitfaced and popping one out since it was my 21st, but that's britain for you. :P

the day after we went out to celebrate my friend Gail's boyfriend's b-day (they are so awesome, I love them :3) I never really did celebrate my own because I was busy during the week, and basically all of my friends were busy during the weekend. so, meh. BUT. J-chan gave me a debenhams gift card. which I have been gazing at quizzically when she hasn't been looking. omg, it's embarrassing, but I don't know how to use it because I've never had one before. I'll probably end up making an arse out of myself when I try to. omg. maybe I can just keep it in a drawer of niceness. because it's pretty. :)

was lazy during the weekend. am still hoping for fic.

yesterday I fell on my face in the library stairs. there were a lot of people around. they didn't really care about the fall itself, I don't think, but they looked at me in this way: O.o; when I started laughing my arse off at myself. well. at least I was amused. >.>

hopefully I won't do anything stupid today. ahaha, as if that's ever true. also, ficgames fic is going okay. it's not my usual writing style, but I think it's okay. I hope. and omg, need to start writing for je_hols. need to do research for je_hols. *dies*

I submitted a heterosexified version of clay hearts (see) to creative writing (lol, two weeks ago >.>) so they said we're going to do that tomorrow, then again, you never know about creative writing. :P Jen asked if it was okay to tell people that it was slash originally, and I said yes, but only after they've read it, because I don't want them to get stuck on that fact like they were last time I submitted anything. :/ it was very awkward. A lot of things are very doomed in my life at this point in time, and I got back my Literature grades today, hello 32/50. I can still get my A as long as I don't fail the performance task (i.e. 5/10 and above), but FULL MARKS PREASE, I DON'T WANT TO GET A MEDIOCRE 3.6 GPA. I await History, Social Studies and English, simply because they, together with Literature, are the 4 As that I must protect with my life.

In any case I'm very determined to make my boobs bigger. Because if I'm not going to get skinny any time soon, I want giant knockers. I can't be fat and yet not be well-endowed!! Well, to comfort myself, at least I'm not an A, if not I'd be drowning myself in papaya milk.

And because I'm incredibly bored and also incredibly self-obsessed, I googled myself just now and I'm the only person in the technologically available world with my name, how freaking awesome is that, considering I didn't even type in my Chinese name. SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is starring in a period film titled "Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta." The movie revolves around a love story between a Sengoku-era general (Kusanagi) and a princess (Yui Aragaki), directed by Takashi Yamazaki of "Always: Sanchome no Yuhi" fame.

The story is actually based on the plot of the 2002 animated movie "Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen." That film won many awards, including the grand prize in the animation division of the Japan Media Arts Festival.

In "Ballad," Kusanagi plays a general of a small state. The princess, played by Aragaki, is offered a political marriage with a daimyo of a neighboring state, and war ensues when she turns down the offer. A key character in the plot is a young boy named Shinichi (originally Shin-chan), who comes from the future. 11-year-old Akashi Takei plays the role of Shinichi.

The film, which will heavily use CG for its battle scenes, is apparently budgeted at 2 billion yen. The supporting cast includes Michitaka Tsutsui, Yui Natsukawa, Atsuo Nakamura, and Takao Osawa. Filming started late last month and is expected to finish in January. The movie's tentative release date is in September 2009.

T would love to see the anime movie, I bet. He is a big fan of Crayon Shin-chan (at least the Adult Swim version).

Calling all math geeks on my flist, I need help! I'm writing a how-to at work about making trend lines, and I want to explain what a trend line is and give some in-depth math info about it. Problem is, I can't seem to find any good info on the Web! I'm writing about linear and exponential trend lines. ll I know about them is that a linear trend line is straight and an exponential one is curved. So if you know more than that and can explain it in somewhat understandable language, please do! I'm going to put the info in a sidebar I'm titling "Geek Out with Me!" I think it'll be fun. :) TIA.

Okay, um, question! Who knows anything about computers? Even though I put in 'remember me on this computer' in the ticky boxes when signing into places, it keeps signing me out each time. It never did this before and it just started doing it randomly, it's driving me absolutely nuts! Can anyone tell me how to make it stop?

In other news, I love Shounen Club so much. The newest episode was so amazing. Hikaru always has the best, rockin', jazzy bestest solos and he is just so my favourite HSJer and Butoukan and Kis-my-ft2's new songs were both awesome and the game segment was brilliant and I loved every song they sang. Question looked bored a lot. And A.B.C.-Z is hilarious, if only for the height difference.

Who am I kidding man. I totally couldn't resist downloading Tokyo Friends Park the moment I saw links for it on news_jpop! I thought I would download the first 100MB file for part 1 to satisfy my craving but once you watch, you can't stop! D: An just like that, 900MB and 3 hours of my time flew out of the window. But it was all worth it! I love TFP2!

I'm soooooo glad Ryusei no Kizuna's episode was a 2 hour special because then they had supporting cast there too! Kaname Jun is so freaking HOT!! I think I may be more excited about RnK because Kaname Jun is in it too than because Ryo and Nino is in it. :P Anyway, back to TFP. Here are some of my favourite parts and comments. They're all over the place because my brain's fried.

At the end of TFP, I realized that I really do like Kaname Jun. I think I am really looking forward to him in RnK more than the others. XD Nevertheless, reading the book still got me interested in the drama as a whole. Oh, and I'm liking Toda Erika more and more. I think she comes across as someone who's more noisy and open because she's from the Kansai region. Compared to the other younger generation of actresses, she seems more fun and rowdy.

I need more TFP crack!
