TOKIO's Masahiro Matsuoka will star in another "Shin Oishinbo" drama special later this year. This will be his third episode in the series, which had its first two episodes aired in 2007.
"Shin Oshinbo" is a revival of the "Oishinbo" drama specials of the 1990s. Both series are based on Tetsu Kariya's popular cooking-themed manga of the same name.
The full title of the upcoming special is "Shin Oishinbo Part 3: Yuzan Kaibara vs. Kyukyoku Shichinin no Samurai!" As in the previous episodes, Matsuoka plays the main character Shiro Yamaoka, while Yuka plays his colleague Yuko Kurita and Ken Matsudaira plays his father and rival Yuzan Kaibara.
The first episode, which aired in January 2007, had nabe as its theme. The second, in November 2007, focused on omusubi. This time, the central food will be beef.
Fuji TV has not yet announced a specific broadcast date, but said that it plans to air the episode before the end of this year.

silgari)Model and actress Anne (23) will be taking on her first heroine role in a television series this summer. She has been cast as the female lead in NTV's spy comedy that stars Tomoya Nagase.
Still lacking an official title, the show was first revealed last week. Nagase plays a convicted swindler who is recruited by the government to serve as a spy against terrorists. His role is being loosely labeled as a James Bond-type character, which means Anne will play the equivalent of a Bond girl.
Anne's character is a reporter for an evening newspaper, who is also the daughter of a family that runs a restaurant in Nagase's neighborhood. She becomes part of the spy team under the name Dorothy. Because Anne has an international modeling career, the show's producer felt that she would be a good choice for the "Bond girl" role.
The drama series is scheduled to start in July.

silgari)TOKIO's Tomoya Nagase is starring in a new drama on NTV next season. The show, currently untitled, is described as a comedy revolving around a superspy character.
Nagase plays Kyosuke Yoroi, a swindler serving a 30-year sentence after being caught for more than a dozen cases of fraud. However, the government sees that Kyosuke's skills can be put to use, so it arranges for his release under the condition that he becomes a spy to help fight against terrorists. His character is a bit clumsy and gets easily carried away, but he also possesses athleticism and sex appeal.
Each episode will tell one story, with different guests appearing each week. As part of his spy work, Nagase will be dressing up in various disguises, such as a pilot, a doctor, and a Korean actor resembling Bae Yong Joon. He will also be equipped with an array of gadgets, such as a ring that turns into a pistol and a shoe that doubles as a cell phone.
With Nagase filling in the "James Bond" role, his spy team will also have a beautiful "Bond girl"-type character named Dorothy.
Ryoichi Kimizuka is in charge of the screenplay. NTV will start airing the series in July, putting it in the network's Saturday 9:00pm time slot.

I'm a bit disappointed in the lack of dates and places, but I guess it really can't be helped with the guys' schedules and all. I'm more disappointed that they aren't having a concert on 9/21, their 15th birthday, but I'm sure the guys are even more disappointed about that.
Enough with the disappointment, TOKIO's on tour for 2009!!!
