VERY random and unexpected TMBG sighting.
I wandered over to my home borough's website ( Avalon, Pennsylvania), to check on when the local Fourth of July fireworks display would be. I'd never visited the site before having just moved here from a neighboring borough last November. On the Events page there was a video on the site of a council meeting where they gave the key to the borough to a rapper I had never heard of: Busdriver. For the heck of it, I watched the video. Here it is: ( Behind an LJ cut because it starts playing on its own. )Imagine my SHOCK at 1:42 where I saw his T-shirt and the VERY familiar whale and squid logo. "No, " I thought to myself. "it couldn't be.... He must have a shirt by the same artist who did the cover art for Apollo 18... yeah, that's GOT to be it." I spent the rest of the video hoping Busdriver would turn so I could see the back of his shirt. Indeed, at 4:30 you can see it is indeed an Apollo 18 shirt! | | Friday, June 26th, 2009 | 4:50 pm

TMBG in New Haven 06.14 Videos
Hi All, If you're interested, I've posted some videos from the family show at the Arts & Ideas Festival on the New Haven Green this past Sunday. Here's the sampling of several songs: The others are full(ish) versions of Older, Doctor Worm, I Am Not Your Broom, and Pirate Girls Nine. Also, the festival put together a video, here. I haven't followed up to find out for sure, but WTNH said the festival folks thought this was the largest crowd they'd drawn in 14 years. tmbg ad piece thing for sale
I'm moving soon and can't take too much with me. Therefor, I would like to sell this little piece of tmbg memorabilia to someone who would really enjoy it. I do believe it's from the mid-90s, but I'm not entirely positive. It came from a friend of mine when he worked at a record store years ago. It was some kind of plastic panel advertising for the store. I find it hilarious in that it's made solely to show off tmbg albums, but they misspelled Constantinople and "Birdhouse in Your Soul" is "Birdcage in My Soul".
