I am trying to remember the story about DG and Cain where Cain buys DG art supplies in Central City.

What was the name of that fic?

Was it ever finished?

1. Somewhere in the story, DG gets attacked by some kind of monster (or was it the witch) and Cain is outside her door (calling her "baby" several times) and he can't get her door opened because it's magically locked. Az tries to magic it open, and Cain tries to use muscle to open it, but it won't budge until the evil thing is finished attacking her, and they find her all bloodied and whatnot.

ETA: I've been told it's by badgirl2bad4u. Is it Stand My Ground?

2. There's a battle with the witch that Cain and DG are fighting along with the others. Pre-battle, Cain and DG make love, and Cain promises they'll be back in bed later that night, because they'll survive the battle. DG sucks the life out of the witch (the author likens it to how Az killed Lonlot) and she ends up in critical condition. Of course she gets better, and Cain snuggles up to her and is all "See, I told you we'd back back together in this bed again."

edit: Her watcher also ended up in the OZ. His name I believe was Kit. I think the witch captured him.

I know I know this story but I can't think of the title for the life of me: DG gets sent back to the Other Side for a college edu-ma-cation, and gets saddled with her own contingent of royal guards who follow her around like a contingent of royal guards, much to her dismay. In hopes of making things easier, the Head Guard (whom DG calls "Doc" to go with the other 7 Dwarves nicknames she's given the other guys) has an invisibility spell put on them and a rotation of guards, but that doesn't help. When things finally come to a head, a youngerized(?) Cain is brought in as a pinch hitter. Or something like that.

Hi I'm Mae and generally I'm a lurker. Unless I actually know what the story is then I do try and help find it.

Ok anyway I was looking for a story that I only read the first chapter of but forgot to favorite so I couldnt go back and check to see if there was anymore added.

DG was having horrible night terrors about being locked in the marble coffin and I remeber that Az was listening from outside her door, she felt like it was all her fault and she wanted to help but didnt know how. Az was found by someone else while sitting outside DG's door listening to her and Az told them that it was all her fault.

Ok so thats all I remember. Sorry.

as general as I can be without giving too much away:

Cain has a problem with every suitor on DG's dance card. I believe the action moves out to the balcony... there may be some smoochy, as well... *brain!glitch*

(I know shocker) um... It took place both during and after the eclipse. it had something to do with relationships in the Oz and Collars and crests, and being a Sub or a Dom. DG gets smacked by some jerk. and she and Cain find a middle ground where they both can be happy.

This particular fic is a Tin Man/Wicked twofer. It takes place in the cave, and follows the thought processes of the Witch as she tames the mobats and possesses Azkadellia. There's a twist in the denouement, wherein we discover that the Witch is Madame Morrible.

I am looking for a tin man story. I think the pairing was Dg & Cain, but i am not completely certain. All I remember was Dg looking at herself in the mirror or something and noticing her stomach was bigger. Then she asks Az , "Az does my stomach look bigger to you?" That is all I remember about the story, just DG realizing shes probably pregnant and asking Az if she agrees. Does anyone know what story this is? I'd appreciate the help finding it.

I am trying to remember a fic I read that had DG destroying all the Tin Suits in the OZ for Cain. I think there may have been two different fics about this topic, but I could be wrong. I just remember that in one she was going through the OZ by herself with Cain following.

I can't remember where I found this story, whether it was on lj or on fanfiction.net. It deals with Cain being sent away by the queen and ahamo because of his and dg's relationship. and Glitch gets his brain put back in by force, because of his and az's relationship. and it goes to five years later with cain returning and glich becomes glitch again after a fall. And DG has a secret and Jeb helps the four of the leave so they can live happy ever after

Slowly going crazy

I'm starting to think I dreamed this story...

A Cain/DG 'shipper fic from Cain's POV.

Cain hears talk from the old ladies in the court about how he'll make a good catch when he done his years of morning, and even them making a list of what girls would be old enough to marry when that time comes.

But Cain has spent the last eight years grieving and just wants to start his life over with the woman who has already stolen his heart.

When first asked I thought it was a one-shot, and I'm still leaning that way, but after reading every one-shot that was tagged "DG", "Cain", or "DG/Cain" at fanfic.net, tinman_fic, and dg_cain and not finding it... Maybe it was the first chapter of a longer story.

You may have noticed that today, verilyverity inaugurated our community with its first storyfinding request. You may also have noticed that it's taking a while to help her find her story. Please do take a moment to read about her request and see if the description jogs your memory.

Another thing I will ask you to do is to pimp this comm to your Tin Man friends. I ask this not out of a comm-owner's ego but because the effectiveness of a comm of this kind is dependent on the breadth of its knowledge base. Thus, the more members or watchers we have, the greater the chances that requests will be filled. Over on sgastoryfinders, most requested stories are located within minutes. It's a bit early to expect that from our little-comm-that-could, but we are certain to have more success if we increase the number of people reading the requests.

I'm looking for a C/DG fic.

It was a one shot, took place after the eclipse. I don't think it was posted to tinman_fic, or if it was, it was posted as a fake-cut or a link to the author's personal journal.

I can't remember any very specific details of the story since I was reading it with only half my attention, but I remember that it was singular in my experience in that it was entirely in character for both of them, and didn't shy away from the obvious issues swirling around a recently bereaved man having a relationship with a girl young enough to be his daughter after knowing her for a week, said jailbait having been recently uprooted from everything she's ever known, deposited in a place for which she has no frame of reference and told to call "home."

There wasn't a fluffy-bunny happy ending, but it wasn't demonstrably bleak, either. It ended on a note of wary hope, if I recall.

The plot? There was no plot. This is a C/DG, after all. Cain and DG talk about their mutual baptism of fire, Cain and DG do the horizontal lambada, Cain and DG wonder, "now what?"

It's the "now what?" that I'm coming back for. That's not something you see every day with that particular pairing.</lj>
