Mistress Mayfair: 44% off!

Be the ONLY person to own this beautiful corset!

Mistress Mayfair is a rare beauty indeed.
She is made of the finest Antique Victorian
Silk Brocade... The last yard of it's kind , in
fact. She is lined with black broadcloth, the
antique fabric is quite strong, but we still
backed it with heavy twill. There are 20 steel
bones, and a busk front closure. The
grommets in this one are a lovely antiqued
brass color, and the laces are flat black
which can be changed to a different color
ribbon to suit the needs of the owner.

Mindticor.com

[Unknown LJ tag]

Email me at airyn@hotmail.com with any questions!

Tightlacing individuals

Calling of all Tightlacers.....
Hello,

My name is Louise and I am student at Manchester Metropolitan University in my third year, where I'm study psychology. For my dissertation I am looking into tight lacing and the community that surrounds it, its benefits, why individuals decide to tight lace amongst other tight lacing topics.

I was hoping to find out if you yourself or if you could tell me of anyone who maybe tight laces them self. If you do indeed tight lace I would be very interested in setting up a interview, in which the interview will be kept confidential.

I choose to look at tight lacing for my dissertation because I take a personal interest in corseting and find the material and shaping of a corset to be unique, different and just beautiful. I got on to the topic of tight lacing through a journal article which evaluated the artistry.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, I look forward to hopefully hearing from some of you.

Louise

Email: whenangelscryblood_666@hotmail.com

Questions on Tightlacing

Hi there-

I am doing some research on tightlacing with the hopes that I will soon start my waist-training. I was hoping you guys could help me out with some questions I had.

I have read that it is a good idea to wear a corset liner/protector under your corset to protect your corset from body oils and to help protect your skin from hotspots and rubbing. I was wondering if you DO wear a corset liner or if you do not wear one. If you do wear one do you buy them or make them yourself?

The next question I have is what kind of clothes do you wear while tightlaced? It seems to me that dresses/skirts will work but as far as pants it may be very difficult if not impossible for jeans/pants to look right while corseted. I really like a lot of the vintage styles of jackets and corset covers that go over the corset but I suppose those types of garments would have to be tailored because I sure don’t see them on the racks at the store. J

I have a lot of questions but I think that is good for now. Thanks everyone for any help you can provide. Thinking about starting a new adventure is pretty exciting.

Lil Miz Cheezcake

Off the rack corset, only worn twice (neither time for long. No dancing, sweating, or anything. I wouldn't consider it remotely broken in) It's in fantastic shape, it just doesn't fit me very well, Im 5'6 and a D cup and the girls kinda like to spill out the top (if theyre not doing the wierd muffin top/shelf boob thing) So, ideally youll either be shorter, or less full in the cup.

Now, on to the info:

Size: 20"
Front Busk: 14"
Style: Edwardian Overbust
Material: Black Dupioni Silk, Cream Antique-Style Lace Trim
Bones: Steel, 24 of them
Company: Corset Connection
Paid: $380
Asking: $250 OBO (flexible!)

(this message has been x-posted.)

So I am making corsets for me and a friend for tight lacing. I was trying to figure out if corsets for tight lacing have to have a front busk?? I don't mind doing front busks, it's just that i thought up some very cute designs that wouldn't allow for a front busk without killing the design.

TIA

~Aj~

S, M, L .

Every product page contains a link to a detailed sizing chart to make ordering easier and much more accurate.

Also, all of our designs now have extra fusing and waist tape for even more waist reduction and durability.

Thanks for looking~
~The Fainting Room

Tightlacing after pregnancy

Has anyone ever done it? I'm due with my first any day now, and I am DYING to get back into my corsets! I've gained about 30 pounds, but it's all been in my belly and I'm hoping my custom-made overbust will still fit.

Any precautions I should take? Anything I need to know about?

Hello!

I finished my first corset last Thursday and wore it for four hours on Thursday and at least ten hours on Friday at a reduction of 5". It was my first time wearing a corset aside from the times that I tried on the mockups. I drafted the pattern myself, and I thought it fit pretty well. Well... on Friday night I developed a fever of around 100, so I took some tylenol and went to bed early, only to wake up at noon the next day with a temperature of 102, which went up to 103 by Sunday and despite taking tylenol every four hours since then, i still around 100 right now. I have also been insanely sore EVERYWHERE. My muscles--from my fingers to calves, shoulders, back, etc. ache insanely bad. I am hoping that this is a freak coincidence that I've been hit by the virus of the century at the same time, but I am wondering--can wearing a possibly improperly made corset too tight/too long cause fever and all over pain?

Dickens Fair loveliness

The Dickens Christmas Fair is an event held in San Francisco every year from US Thanksgiving to Christmas in celebration of Charles Dickens' London. Much lovely fashion all over the place, but none quite so concentrated as in the windows of the Dark Garden corsetry boutique, where they have living models posing throughout the day.

I have a variety of pictures up in my LJ galleries for any who would care to take a look.

Introduction, and a Question

Hello!
Been observing loosly for alittle bit, but havent joined until now, figured I'd delurk, and ask a nagging question.

Delurking:
I live in Portland, OR. 23/7 lacer, Im naturally 29 1/2 working down to a short term 22, long term 18-20, Currently between 24 and 26 3/4 depending on health. I'm in love with a small local corset maker the miss Lisa Marie, of Enchanted Corsets (http://www.myspace.com/enchantedcorsets).

Now for the question:
I have to travel next week; by plane. Now, Ive walked corsetted through a courthouse metal detector just fine (yeah it went off, but, the guards were pretty friendly and amused), but, airport security is pretty crazy. Does anyone have any experience with this particular feat? What little Ive found online says do it and call it an orthopedic device (would be hard, as, back braces dont give you near that much figure, and, its a black underbust/trainer.) and others say they're harassed relentlessly. I expect a trip to the molestation room, but, would they freak and try to confisgate it? Id rather not go without as its a fairly long cross country flight, and, Im not too keen on trying to lace myself up in the planes 2foot bathroom after explaining to the carry-on people that its underwear not weaponry. Surely someone else has been through this and knows what to expect; or at least knows of a good "makeshift" for that time?
Any help would be awesome.

Corset for sale

Hi guys! I know I've just joined, but I'm in financial straits and have a corset to sell. It comes from a shop called Costa Diva, is their Victorian over-bust style, and is very well-adapted to waist training. It's got tons of boning, spring steel surrounded by steel bones, and is very lovely and comfortable to wear.

It laces down to a 32 inch waist.

It's black satin on the inside (they claim it's reversable,I haven't tried). On the outside, it's the same black material, but beautifully embroidered with silver flowers (peonies or the like, something with big soft-looking petals) and sapphire-blue dragons with silver accents. All the bias tape and stuff is black.

I'm looking to sell it for $250, but best offer will get it,probably. I put on some weight and can't wear it comfortably for a while, and I figure someone else can enjoy it instead. = P I wore it about three times. Once when I bought it at the Renaissance Festival, once to show it off,and once to begin my waist training and then get distracted by other stuff. = P

I live in Georgia. I'll have to calculate the shipping for US and abroad, but I don't think it'll be a whole lot.

Last Chance at PVC Corsets!

This is the last chance you will have at ordering a corset from cKc in PVC material. I have decided that I would have to make an enormous markup or completely delete the option from the site, because it takes so long to work with the material. I've decided to delete the option. SO! If you would like to order one before 6pm est on 11/5/07 please do so!

Click pic to go to store.

Mindticor.com
