I made a trip a while ago, to goodwill. So some of these are pretty old, some are new.

I tried to do a cut but not sure if it worked.

From the Goodwill in Amity, CT [Nov. 16th, 2009|10:04 am]

Hello thrifters,
I have been a longtime fan, or lurker to call a spade a spade. I don't often get out to the goodwill shops, but on Sunday, my friend, [info]sublibrarian and myself did get to go out and do a little shopping.

We found some good stuff. [info]sublibrarian managed to find books and a banjo and I found the Terry Pratchett novel, "Night Watch" among other things. Among the quirky items that we managed to find and give a good home, we came across some truly horrifying things, and we want to pass the love to you guys. )

I'm still looking for a few more doll pictures for my forthcoming YouTube Vitas video http://community.livejournal.com/thrifthorror/295004.html
A big thank you to those who have already contributed pictures, who will of course be credited. Contributions don't have to be new - archive thrifthorror photos are equally welcome.

This one's probably the best candidate since she's a bona fide speaking doll. Her catchphrases include "I love you Mommy!" and "Read me a story please!" Perhaps the most disturbing thing is that if I found a version of her dress in my size I'd wear it...

Took a trip down to the local thrift store to look for a new Winter coat because it is freakin' freezing all the freakin' time these days...

So there I am, sifting through the (mostly unfortunate) merchandise, when I come upon the most unfortunate.

UM WHAT IS THAT YOU HAVE THERE COAT?

Oh. Oh no.
