...Basically meaning that all hosted background images will be going kaput at the end of September.

Will I fix it? Eventually. At my own leisure. So I suggest that if you're hotlinking, save the images NOW and upload them yourself before they disappear.

Hey, everyone. Recently, I've had to deal with a personal issue which pretty much killed all of my creativity. I'm still not back into layout-making and I doubt I will be for a while; accordingly, I don't have the spirit to answer layout questions. A tutorial for achieving the effect I have used in my journal. This should work in all browsers. However, please note that I have only tested this hack with Life's a Spectrum -- if it doesn't work with other Expressive/Mixit layouts, it's up to you to adjust it as needed. I'm in the middle of end-of-semester project mire and don't really have the time or energy to offer CSS help.
