Does anyone know of a good self-tanner that isn't too orange? I'm super pale naturally and I'd like to give myself a little more color. My skin gets all blotchy and i look like death.

I'm getting it as a treat for myself because I've worked out for 4 hours (intense cardio) in the last 2 days. So happy about that :D

According to Dr. Oz, these are the symptoms of depression:

•Loss of interest in things you enjoy
•Changes in weight or appetite
•Change in sleeping patterns
•Feeling of sadness, guilt and hopelessness
•Making other people feel depressed and pointless (bringing other people down)

Many people in this community have probably experienced depression. Do you agree with this list of symptoms? Would you add or remove any? Have you ever experienced any of these (presumably yes, since this is an ED community)? What did you do to recover?

well i guess you couls say im taking a bit a recovery period. Im eating normal. I still have thoughts of how many calories are in the food i eat and how horridly fat i am. But im within a week or two ill be back to starving and purging anything im forced to eat.... but in the mean time.........

day three fasting - weakness beyond words [20 Nov 2009|08:59pm]

I feel like shit right now, man. I have a wicked migraine, and a wicked stomachache. I drank some water, but it's not helping either of these symptoms...I also have a pain in my forearm that feels like I smacked it on something and it's going to bruise soon, but I know I haven't done anything stupid like that lately. I've been fasting for three days now, if you haven't read my other post. Any tips other than calling off the fast? I want to take ibuprofen but I don't want to get anymore messed up...I'm taking Hoodia pills for the included caffeine and I took two of those recently with a metabolism-boosting b-vitamin pill and I was in pain prior...although I think maybe it might explain the stomach ache. I feel like I'm going to throw up yet haven't eaten, and I don't believe I drank too much.
But anyway, help?

P.S. This is not my first fast, I remember from previous fasts feeling immensely exhausted, but not this much pain, lightheadedness, or my ear ringing.

I have these huge pains that start at the bottom of my ribs and go up to my nipples. They feel like PMS and awful hunger cramps, only farther up. I ate today, what normal person eats (fml) so it isn't that. My parents say it's no big deal, but I'm reallyfuckingscared.

What do I do?

why you bindge

not really because your weak...

if you are really trying to lose weight you need to eat three meals a day
i know what your thinking whoa what are you talking about?!?

but honestly if you have breakfast of maybe 400 cals like some juice and a granola bar
you will be jump starting you metabolism
then for lunch have like 200 cals and before dinner try and work out
then have an early dinner (like 200 cals or less) if you have dinner.
it has to be an early dinner so you dont go to bed to soon after you eat.
then so you can actually get to sleep drink a cup of hot tea so you feel full, because we all know it takes for ever to fall asleep no matter how tired you are when you have hunger pains.

also always have a glass of water while you are eating try and have a drink with every bite.

another thing is you dont want you body to go into starvation mode (i know its hard some times and you lose yourself and stop eating for days and days, i have been there done that and really its not the way to be pretty)

we all love the exhilaration of being hungry and the running on empty and the best way to get this feeling all the time with out feeling like your going to binge at any moment is...
to eat three meals a day, make yourself i know its awful

but if you are one of those people (and i think most of you are) who will do perfect for a week or two and then one day you feel as if you have lost all control and two hours later you look back and realize you just ate at least half the fridge of food and then the next day you try to get back into the routine of not eating and you cant and you end up binging again.

then seriously try this for a week and you will notice you have more energy to work out and you will be able to sleep a little better which is important (if you dont get enough sleep your metabolism slows down, which is BAD)

you will see that not only are you able to withstand the hunger for alot longer, you will not want to binge, you will be able to exercise for longer, and you will notice that you WILL BE LOSING WEIGHT

try it for a week- i know it sounds scary but it works.

*also add cyan pepper to your food and drinks if you can great for your metabolism (even better than cinnamon and nutmeg)

According to this article, up to 1/4 of the processed food we eat could be mislabelled and actually contain more calories, sugar and fat than the label says.

I'm starting the Leave Me Love program in the University Of EDNOS (1st link) to slowly ease myself back into a more extreme diet. I'm aiming for under 1000 calories a day, with up to 1400 if I'm doing a lot of exercise, if I'm sick or if I totally plateau. I'm also going to eat healthier (meaning no more 5 cookies, 8 marshmallows and about 5 million tablespoons of peanut butter eaten so fast it's terrifying & disgusting).

Also, I'm feeling motivated because although i've gained weight, at least some of it is muscle, since I now wear a (very tight) size 1 instead of a tight size 3 or even a 5 at the beginning of the summer. My goal is to be a size 0.

Does anyone want to do a University of EDNOS program with me? I can offer loads of support and thinspo (even if we weren't doing the same program).

Also, does anyone think it would be worth starting a Uni of EDNOS weightloss community on LJ?

NEGATIVE CALORIES AREN'T REAL!

Do foods really have negative calories? My friend is on a negative calorie diet where she can eat all she wants and lose weight. Is this true and what are the foods?

Dear Joyce,

All foods have calories. Obviously some foods have more calories than others but your friend is referring to the foods that use more calories to digest, because of the extra fiber. It takes about 6 calories to burn 1 gram of fiber as oppose to 2 calories to burn 1 gram of fat. Therefore, foods that are high in fiber take more calories to digest than other foods.

A diet made of high fiber vegetables (which are naturally low in calories) will help lower your overall calorie intake and make you feel more satisfied because of the bulk. It will also take slightly more calories to burn fiber-rich foods. Though a negative calorie diet sounds good, it’s the overall calorie intake that matters.

Neg cals are for wannarexics!
