You Tube  
A few people have posted this video, and I think it's worth watching. It's about an hour long, so if you can't face sitting down and watching that long a vid, scroll to about 51 minutes in and watch from there for about a minute and a half. It's the best answer to Jo's Why do you blog? question that I have ever seen.



Although I think the tears really started flowing around the "hold me" hand message point.

I don't do YouTube, having always been more of the written word type of person, but my daughter does, with the help of her dad. She has made the sort of worldwide friendships through vidding that I have made through forums and blogging.

Anything that keeps us all connected, and reminds us that we're all just people, and we all live on one planet, and we have to look out for each other, is good, right?

Or am I just being a soppy old tart again?

Yes, exactly. I don't blog to change the world, but so that I can survive in it.

Took me ages to get around to watching all of this but I'm glad I did. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Anyway I've got to run off to meet my own hairy git at a train station pretty soon. I'm excited; I'm sure it's really much longer than a week he's been away.
