A Bushel and a Peck-- A Heck-Ton of Slayers Sketches
Okay! As promised... Now that I've finished the last of my request sketches for my new Slayers Friending Meme folks... I'm posting the entire mess here.
The ships depicted run a pretty huge gambit across the board and not all of the images are intended to be "shippy".

All of the images were made for the specific individuals mentioned, so you must get their OK (not mine) before using them for any kind of icons, wallpapers or other graphics (etc, etc).

So here it goes!

Commentary: I honestly have never heard of or seen this ship before. And it was a real challenge to draw as I've never tried my hand at anything involving a female slash ship. Haha, PG, because I'm a wimp I guess. ^^;;

Commentary: A random idea, Amelia and Zel either in the Seyruun Navy or as Pirates, or maybe just Zel is the pirate?

Request: "I want your Slayers OTP (Lina x Zel) and Sylphiel with Bart Allen (lol, really random there). You can do a mini comic or a sketch of them at a double date, debating about something, naked ultimate pillow fight sleepover, or just about anything else (G-NC17, it doesn't matter). For setting, it has to be in Bart's hometown in Alabama and I want Bart to be in his 20 year old self but still act like impulse dammit (cause that bart is more fun and I wanna see how Zelgadis will react to him)."
Title: Double Date
Commentary: For those unfamiliar... Bart Allen is the 4th in the DC comics legacy of super-speedsters to go by the title, "The Flash". He actually appears twice in the image, one being a classic Flash after-image as he speeds around. In his younger days, Bart when by the superhero name, "Impulse". He personified the name.

Request: "How about something Lina/Zel related, with out-of-the-ordinary outfits. Anything fun you think up. :)"
Title: ...It just moved on it's own.
Commentary: I had fun with the outfits. I'm still tempted to ink and properly color this one. Zel would have a Chinese dragon going down the front of the tunic.
She was walking away.
His heart skipped over a couple of beats. Making his breath catch in his throat.
It wasn't like he'd never see her again. She was just going off to do some shopping. A few hours. In a strange town --a strange country. No one knew about him here, but she was on the wanted posters --again. It wasn't exactly like her appearance stood out here. His did, but not hers.
Besides, it's not like Lina can't take care of herself.
She took another step away, already glancing at the store signs handing over the narrow roadway.
Walking... away.
She stopped and turned to him suddenly. Her eyes were wide with surprise, and a light blush tinted her cheeks. Just a little bit.
His eyes followed the line of her arm... down to her left hand. Her small hand was in his. Soft flesh surrounded by the coarse blue stone. He hadn't even realized that he had...
The smile spread slowly across his face. That was what it meant. That catch --the skipped beat of his heart.
He slowly lifted his gaze, saphirre blue eyes coming to meet the firey ruby of hers.
He couldn't erase the gentle smile from his face as he looked at her.
He had only just realized it.
And he spoke softly so only she would hear him, "...It just moved on it's own."

Title: Bridesmaid
Commentary: Okay, I had about 10 different ideas, but only managed to properly sketch one of them. For reason I have a hard time with drawing Lina sometimes. Not my best work, but that's why I'm just doing sketches for the moment. The idea was Lina in a bridesmaid's dress (Which is why the dress is intentionally a bit unflattering.)
Return: In return, she wrote a completely adorable fanfic based on the sketch.

Commentary: No background characters because by the time I got to it, I was completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of sketches. Ah me and my personal art challenges.

Title: Punk Xellos
Commentary: This is why leaving me with an unspecific request is risky. Sometimes I draw a total blank. Xellos for kumicho_zz has been a perfect example. Therefore, I've made two goes at it. I really hate this first one. It's weird and boring.

Commentary: I'm a little happier with the second try.

Commentary: It turned out making it look kind of like they've been cornered or are in some kind of bad situation, but... "Justice will always burn in the hearts of the good", or something like that. Eh-heh. Actually it's their perseverance and faith in Justice in the face of insurmountable odds that I love about those two.

Commentary: Haha. I couldn't figure out how to draw this, so we have a chibi dancing Xellos with maracas to give the sketch a little life.

Commentary: Zel steps out onto the balcony to her her leaning over the railing, watching the stars. He takes the moment just watch her. It's been a long journey and he wants to savor every second of his return to her.

Commentary: Ooof. I always forget how bad I am at drawing anything animalistic until I start at it. Gah... Jillas and Duclis... as allies, I think?

Commentary: I had a different concept before I started, but once pencil went to paper, butterfly obis suddenly seemed like a great idea in my head somewhere. I like it at least.

Commentary: Certainly open to interpretation it is... They're coming back from the pool --or the hot springs. Really! They're wearing swimsuits! --or towels --or something --Ya pervs! Kidding. ROFL. XD

Commentary: From the bowels of capslockslayers... The "truth" is revealed! Pokota is actually Rezo reborn! He wears a red cape and has purple hair! Flawless logic! ^_~

Title: Scandal!
Commentary: One of capslockslayers's favorite topics is determining just who is sleeping with whom. Zel is just the easiest target.




Some of these got colored, some didn't. I was pretty arbitrary about that, but usually it was because I could color it fairly quickly.
If I missed doing a sketch for one of my new LJ friends or friend request coming off of the Slayers Friending Meme, please let me know. I was getting notified of every single comment that happened on that post, so comment notices could easily have been deleted accidentally.
