AboutA community for people who would like to share the wisdom and the adventure of life after sixty, whether your 60th birthday was this week or twenty years ago!
Or not quite yet.
Sixty isn't so scary, after all.
Welcome Newcomer! I'm jubal, lower case please. I am 61 years young... and to my knowledge so far I am the second oldest Live Journaller. I am the manager of this little establishment. If you have any requests concerning our environment feel free to express them to me. We aim to please... you know how the rest of that goes. Right?
If you would kindly copy this little questionnaire, fill out your answers and post it as your first post, it will help us get to know you and how to serve you better.
1. Tell us a little about yourself?
(We’d like to know your age but won’t pressure you to divulge it. We are hoping to establish how many older Ljers there are and how old they are. Perhaps later we will have a ceremony and give out some useless and meaningless awards.)
2. And how you came to be here?
3. And what are your interests?
4. Why did you join our little band?
5. Which room would you like? Not to worry. It’s all free! Just tell us what you like, please.
6. And you get your own car. It’s only a Civic but it has a sunroof. What color would you like?
7. And how many unobtrusive servants would you like?
You are very welcome here and we hope you will enjoy your stay with us. There are activities planned for every hour of every day… and night if you’re a night owl. You’ll find a brochure in the lobby. The pool is open all night but closes for an hour at 8AM for cleaning and restocking of the poolside bar.
Down that little path over there to the left is our very own Bullfrog Pond. We hope their night singing will not disturb your sleep. You may fish if you like. No license is required.
