The Office panel discussion at USC.
I just came back from The Office panel discussion at USC! It was nice seeing episodes in a room full of people who truly love and appreciate The Office. Everyone was laughing, clapping after great lines and just having a great time. The panel lasted three hours; during the first hour and a half, they showed Health Care, Sexual Harassment & the Injury and the second hour and a half was a session of Q&A with Paul Lieberstein, Kent Zbornak, BJ Novak, Director Ken Whittingham and Staff Writer Caroline Williams.

The best part is that they gave us hints about upcoming episodes, so if you are interested click the cut:



Episodes in the works for the third season

• We finally get a chance to meet Dwight's cousin and see his beet farm!
• Jim, Michael and Dwight go to a paper convention. (I guess this means that Jim will be returning to Scranton)
• They will be shooting in location for season 3 and it will most likely be at a St. Patty's Day parade.
• We'll get a chance to see more of Vance of Vance Refrigeration + we'll meet Leo and Gino, two VF employees.

edit: Kent Zbornak said that as of right now there are no plans for cast members from the original series to appear in the US version. Apparently there were scheduling conflicts :(

edit 2: BJ said that even though the show was in ‘real time’ there were no immediate plans to have the characters see the documentary. They ideally would not want that to happen until the last season because it would be a little too out of this world.

Dude, I am so jealous.

As for the spoilers, the paper convention one seems interesting. I wonder if this is the episode with some of the UK actors...

wow ur fast! i was there too. i asked if we could take pictures and stuff with them, and ken (i think) said "no". that was very sad for me. but i got my picture with paul and bj anyways.

Do you mean they are actually shooting in Scranton for St. Patty's Day? Because if they are I know when I'll be planning my college visits to U of Scranton >.>

Also, they said there weren't any immediate plans to have the people on the show see the documentary. B.J. said that they ideally wouldn't want that to happen until the last season maybe.

Thanks for all the info! I agree, that episode w/ Jim, Michael, and Dwight going to the paper convention is going to be awesome! It sort of reminds me of The Injury: those three together = comic gold! So excited!

Again, a little disappointed w/ the info about the UK Office cast NOT appearing on the show (i was so looking forward to a Gareth and Tim appearance!), but we'll see if they're able to do it later in the season. That would be great!

Anyways, all this info is icing on the cake! So excited! Wish i could have been there!
