So to get a few things straight:

- List of filters (after looking through recent posts):

Name = shoe
Bot = pianist
Salmon = offspring
LJ = Wheel of Fortune
LJ links = Wikipedia link to .999?
Themissinghat = the gong show (we get our own filter, yay!)
Post = mail
Connect = touch

Do let me know if I missed any!

- The bots pulling from DeviantArt and Xanga now? Any other places? (Interesting. Expansion!)
- They're reusing screen names? (This makes my life a whole lot easier.)

Any other new stuff you guys have picked up on recently?

I need to bug the salmons sometime soon. Haven't talked to them in a while. Also, I'll definitely redo the profile soon--a lot of new information needs to be included, some stuff needs to be removed, etc.

Keep the chat logs coming! Each is one more step to solving the mystery. :) If you have any questions/suggestions/comments for the mods, leave them here.

I generally just IM a working salmon bot and either see if the operator will talk to request to be connected with someone.

Do you bug the salmons? ;)

I talked to someone last night where the conversation was weirdly one sided, so to speak. It looked like i was talking to more then one person, but the other side could only see me.

It also appeared to be randomly pulled. They didn't have an LJ or a deviantart. Didn't ask about xanga, but who has a xanga. They said the only thing they had was a myspace.

The Salmon I recieved tonight said that she had been IMed on MySpace. She claimed it was me who IMed her tonight on AIM, and on MySpace as well. Maybe they're doing it on MySpace IM now as well?

Some thoughts!

A: I'm using Pidgin with OTR, and I got someone who uses Adium. As soon as the conversation started, our clients automatically started an encrypted chat - so as far as the bot was concerned, it saw a random stream of data. (I haven't verified that the bot isn't actually runni gn the encryption itself, but the messages came through COMPLETELY unadultered)

I don't know where I should post this, but I got trouted by "regulartrout" and I didn't see that on the list.
Also, I apparently, don't have logs of it, but I got messaged by a screen name starting with "P" and then a lot of 0's and 1's (presumably binary) after I made a xanga post that said strange things to me, and it seems like it might be a sort of "trout" as well, anyone else get anything like that?

I was cohoed by 'LumberingCoho'. I have Live Journal [obviously], but they didn't. Although, we both have Facebook. Maybe it's checking there now?

Im pretty sure my conversation was unencrypted.
