Tried going to request a connection since I haven't heard a peep out of the fishbots in quite some time and got "there's a request pending".

The last request I sent was months ago.

I'm wondering if the fishbots shut down or were shut down... anyone else get any bots these days?

So pretty much I was spammed before about a year ago, but I never knew what it was. Had an argument with the person saying they IM'd me first and they said they got my screen name from a "message in a bottle".

Anyway! Just got another random message, googled the SN, found out about everything.

Hey, I just got salmon'd. Wasn't in the mood to talk, but figured I could contribute to y'all's database with this one:

Has anyone else gotten this? I may have triggered it myself by messaging the screen name just for kicks, but if so, the delay between when I did that and when I was contacted by it was considerable and I can't even remember if I actually did or not. Anyway, it behaved like a fishbot last time I interacted with it. The screen name seems to be signed on at the time I'm posting this, so if anyone else wants to give this a shot, go ahead and try it. I'd be interested to see the results. I think I was connected to a real person who wasn't "in" on this and that the bot was periodically interjecting with non sequiters, but the person on the other end was a bit weird anyway, so I can't be sure. Here's the conversation anyway. I'd have kept it going, but I had to get to bed...

I just had my first experience a few minutes ago and had no clue what was going on! But lovely Google led me to this community when I searched the screenname "genuinecoho" that was messaging me. This is such a cute idea (y'know once you get past all the freaking out that someone is stalking you or trying to send you a virus)

I finally got another coho but it was a negative Nancy.
