thelemontree is a community dedicated to Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Yes, we ♥ SLASH so much that we decided to join our heads together to create a community that will influence people to lurve this pairing. You will also see our very own fictions and whatnots posted here.

If you believe that you have the willpower to influence people to ship Harry/Draco, then JOIN US! You have to tell something about yourself and why you think that Harry and Draco should be together.

Good Morning Hon. A Valentines Challenge!
With the New Year almost starting, and Christmas um, over, I thought it would be nice to get a head start on the Valentines challnge! Why do we start it so early? So more people will have a chance to particapate! Get more entries, that kinda thing!
What it is about!
Your fic will take place after a nap, perhaps, when they wake up in the morning, making breakfast, that kinda thing. It's about just waking up, and the love that comes with smelly breath, and needing a shower. (which Im sure a good shower scene someone might do! *cough*)
Rules!
1.) Please, please please, tag your entry! So it will be easy for mods to find it when the it is over, also please put that this is for the challenge in your subject!
2.) More than 500 words, and less than 6000, please.
3.) You can start posting them any time that you would like! This challenge will end Feb. 13 so get them in before then, so we can vote on them, on the day itself.
4.) If you don't have a beta, that is fine, heck I don't even have a beta, but do look out for the big stuff, like spelling and things like that, okay? :)

Hello, I am Jay, the Slash Goddess. This is really joke name, but, yes. Anyway, on fandom I used the name Jbird forever, but it has been changed to QuickQuill. I got into slash because of a friend of mine. He wanted me to find some, and I read a Harry/Draco for him, and I lurved it right from the start. Since then, I have tried my best to make sure we only read the best slash out there.. Though Ferret seems to be doing that for me lately! I also write fics, and beta for my friends. I think I just made the most impersonal bio ever. Praise me for it! ::bows::

My Bio- A Natery tale.
My name is Natalie. Thats how I came up with Nataliefly. It's my pen name, and most of the time, my username on boards. But then I got bored with it, and changed it to Celery. So you can all me Natery. I started reading slash on a fateful day when I went to a Harry Potter for slightly older folk, and became attracted to the name Snitch! That was the first Harry/Draco fic I ever read. And it hasnt stopped since. I proudly claim that I want my Harry and Draco action figures covered in Pesto.

This 20 something girl is exploring the streets of NYC so she can grasps some plot bunnies for her fics. She pretty much enjoys life since she lives it to the fullest and always have her cigs & caffes with her. A hard-core music lover who listens to any genre except hiphop, death, rap, r&b, pop, country and classical. A movie buff who usually sees any new movies on the first week it has been released. She usually writes her fics when she's bored at work while listening to emo or classic punk songs. Aside from writing fics and chatting online, she spends time shopping and drinking with her friends. She's also loves checking out new restaurants as she hunts for the best "off the wall" restos in NYC. Currently, she's been lacking time to write/read fics, but she promise to herself that she will complete all of her WIP fics before all books of HP are released.

We always have our monthly challenge. Our current challenge is based on HBP: writers were asked pick and existing scene from the book and add onto it (in the appropriate slashy manner). Two writers posted fics: Jay (

mintskittle recently completed the archiving of challenge fics, right up to the HBP challenge currently underway. It's interesting to read them- not only because of the writing. This community has existed since late 2003, and the trials and tribulations that H/D shippers have undergone since then (beginning with OotP and ending with HBP) are evident in fanfiction. It's apparent that we've developed and matured (and begun writing darkfics and pr0ny fics in bulk- where have all the flowers gone?).

And please, tell your slash HP/DM friends about it! We would be delighted to have new members who lurve HP/DM like we do!

(We're hard-core fans, that is) Please limit yourself when promoting your community (or any other comm). The subject head should read "A LEMON PROMOTING MORE JUICE!".

3. If you have fic search and would like to ask us fellow Lemons, please give, at least, some details that are helpful to the fic (i.e., author, title, where you read it, famous quote/line). Also, only five fic searches are allowed in each post. Double posting is a no-no (you know that). Please limit yourself when it comes to asking for fics. The subject head should read "A LEMON IN NEED OF JUICE!"

4. When you are a new member or would like to be a new member, you can post an introduction with the subject head "I AM ANNOUNCING MY LEMON-SHIP!". Please let us know how you managed to find our community. Once you've announced your membership, you may post as much fanfiction/art as you'd like. :)
--> Why are introductions necessary? Well, we archive our members' fics under memories, and we differentiate members from cross-posters by asking members to announce their wish to join our community. Community in the social, mutual sense. As in, getting to know the core posters, not just asking them for comments and reviews. As in, actively participating in challenges. When you ask impersonally, impersonal reviews (or no reviews at all) are all you're going to get.

5. Fic reccing (recommendations) are allowed. Please ask permission from the person who wrote the fic before posting the Fic Rec. Also, follow the same format of posting your fic when you are reccing one. And again, don't forget to LJ cut the text or just post the link. The subject head should read "LOOK! I FOUND A LEMON!".

6. As a member, please put an icon of our community under your info. In that way, you can actively promote The Lemon Tree- thereby also promoting your own writing. (This is not mandatory, but we could all use some pimpage.)
