and my answers:

The Friday Five:

What did you want to be when you were a kid?

An electrician like my dad, or maybe a SAHM.

What is your proudest accomplishment so far?

Rebekka. ;-) That's a cheat of an answer isn't it? Other than her, I'm pretty proud of my new job. I worked hard to get here.

What is your dream job?

I dunno.. but I'm getting there I think..I hope.. ask me again in 2 years when this "new job" thing settles down...

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I dunno.. hopefully still happily married, with a wonderful teenaged girl.

What does it take to make you happy?

Not much really, enough money to pay the bills, eat, and play a little, good people who love me, and chocolate.

1. What did you want to be when you were a kid? (Oh my God, I have to write about this in Japanese over the weekend for an assignment lol). First I wanted to be a ballerina (circa age 3), then a veterinarian (until I realized how sad it would be to work with sick and dying animals), and then, around 2nd grade, a writer. I still want to be a writer. I also am training to be a teacher, which strikes me as natural considering how often I enjoyed playing school as a kid.

2. What is your proudest accomplishment so far</b> Can you get back to me in a year? I'm just about to do a lot of those "big accomplishment" things (hopefully graduate, hopefully complete an honors thesis, hopefully get my first job, etc) this year. I guess right now it's just the progress I've made on those things so far, as well as my novel-- though it'll seem more concrete when I have the certificates, etc, to show for it. I'm also proud of an assignment I wrote in Japanese which everyone was convinced I'd plagiarized or something because it sounded so naturally Japanese. I don't like being accused of plagiarism, but it's nice to be suspected of it on the merits of it sounding so good, lol.

3. What is your dream job? Writer and nothing else.

4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?</b> Wow, I'll be in my 30s by then . . . Um, hopefully married or close to it, since that's a life goal and I want to have kids before it becomes unhealthy to do so. I also would like to have published a book by then.

5. What does it take to make you happy?</b> I don't know. I fear I am a hard person to satisfy, and I'm always thinking ahead instead of enjoying the moment. I don't know that when I work towards goals, I am considering how happy or unhappy completing them will make me, more how they will challenge me and how satisfying them will then fulfill me, which is a little different. I don't know that my way is particularly healthy; I probably should think a little more about what I actually want from life. But, once again, can it wait a year until after graduation and the honors thesis? Lol . . .

1. What did you want to be when you were a kid?
Until I was six, a Power Ranger. Then, the first female President.
2. What is your proudest accomplishment so far?
Helping the 'little guys' in my mom's first grade class last year succeed and feel good about school, despite their learning differences/language difficulties.
3.What is your dream job?
I'd love to be a secret agent.
4. Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Settling down, maybe teaching, maybe writing, maybe in film. Approaching my 30's with confidence.
5. What does it take to make you happy?
Not much. A text message from a friend with an inside joke, a post on my facebook wall, a letter in the mail, a memory of spending time with people I love, watching my cat Zoe sleep. These things make me happy/content/fufilled.

1 What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I really, honestly, had no idea. hah.
2 What is your proudest accomplishment so far
My university choir has been invited to sing in Carnegie Hall in early June!! That's more of a group effort, but it's the best I have so far.
3 What is your dream job?
I really want to instill more piano labs in middle and high schools throughout the country (I'm a music ed. major)
4 Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Who knows? I try not to plan that far in advance. Things change too frequently and too rapidly.
5 What does it take to make you happy?
Not much, but my husband seems to be able to take care of all of them. I'm very grateful for him :]

1) What did you want to be when you were a kid?
A kid. Forever.
But if you mean career-wise, well...I wanted Luke Skywalker's job.

...nobody ever accused me of being realistic.

2) What is your proudest accomplishment so far
Well, getting my ass into IMDB, maybe. I d'know.
Either I don't really feel like I've accomplished much, or I'm having a hard time remembering what I've done that's noteworthy.

3) What is your dream job?
I don't actually want Luke Skywalker's job anymore...I want Han Solo's job. ;)
But if we're talkin' present day Earth stuff...I want George Lucas's job.

4) Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I really don't. My life has taken wild hard turns so many times, I've just stopped trying to predict anymore.

5) What does it take to make you happy?
Good friends, good food, no stress, lots of free time, and most especially, my girlfriend. That'll make me feel happy.
If you're asking what it takes to make me happy with the world, though...I wanna live like The Jetsons. That'll do it.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?
A veterinarian. I quickly got over that once I understood what a veterinarian actually does. I’d go nuts very quickly.

What is your proudest accomplishment so far?
Buying my own car without help from my parents.

What is your dream job?
Novelist

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
In a small apartment, still in the same job. Damn it.

What does it take to make you happy?
Money. Not to spend it. I just want it there in the account, looking pretty.

1) What did you want to be when you were a kid?

I always wanted to be a construction worker. I'm still pissed at my parents for telling me to be "better" than that.

2) What is your proudest accomplishment so far?

Getting Married.

3) What is your dream job?

Professional Race Car Driver or Freerider. It would be great to have a paid life full of trackdays, training and doing what you really love.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I honestly don't know

What does it take to make you happy?

Not much a working bike and a good trail. A bottle of Wine a babysitter and a night with the Mrs. A nice powder day and an open run. Lacrosse Practice. A day out racing. Hell even just a beer seems to do the trick.

1. What did you want to be when you were a kid?

As I sat in the theater back in 1980 watching Tron, drooling over the computer graphics, I knew that's what I wanted to do when I grew up.

2. What is your proudest accomplishment so far

Overcame a learning disability, and graduated high school in 3 years putting me back with my original class. I was put back in grammar school.

3. What is your dream job?

Being self employed in some fashion.

4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Working from home, not needing to work an office job to pay my bills. To be completely free of that.

5. What does it take to make you happy?

I'm an easy going person, so usually, not much.
