  4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
  5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?

1. Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.
I have this Santa candle that smells like something I smelled back when I was a child. I cannot wrap my head around what it was but whenever I smell that candle it takes me back.

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
What's Up - 4 Non Blondes
Me, Amanda and Amy singing this song at the top of ours lungs while driving to Town Center Mall.

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.

All My Life - KC & JoJo
I'd rather not talk about it.

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
Popcorn balls.
It makes me think of being 7yrs old, watching Superman, sitting in my uncles lap and waiting for my grandma to finish her famous popcorn balls.

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
No.

Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.
Bath & Body works Japanese cherry blossom lotion reminds me of spring two years ago, because that's when I was wearing it alot. It's more a general than specific memory, though.

Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?
DNA-"Toms Diner" brings back lots of memories. First France, where a girl in the group I was with would sing it constantly, including while walking up flights of cathedral stairs. Eventually some other random tourists started to sing along. Later, a girl in my English class would sing that song during class, and when she sat behind me at graduation. Yeah...very random. Guess it's just a catchy song like that.

How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.

Currently it's that Flobots song. "Handlebars," I think. Basically....reminds me of my brother being a jackass while in the car on the way to pick up my dad from the airport.

Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
Mmmm...nothing specific, but of course holiday foods like peppermint hot chocolate, pumpkin pie, etc., remind me of the holidays. Then there's the summery foods like icecream, lobster rolls...

Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
My yellow blanket reminds me of childhood, if that counts. Or my white baptismal dress from when I was 5...

Wow, I was wordy with this one.

1. Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.

-One is a perfume elizabeth taylor's "Red Door" I remember I'd have these little tiny bottles of them, i thought they were gorgeous "doors" and smelled so good. I'd vision having a red door as my front door when I "grew up"
-Another is another perfume, i have no idea what its called but its a perfume my grandmother always wore as I grew up, whenever I smell it somewhere else on other people, i'd think of my grandma. Hmm, I should ask her what it was called.
-Outdoorsy/Woodsy smell.... One of my favorite memories as a child was when we went to live at my dad's cabin ontop of approx 200 acres in goldendale in the middle of "nowhere" in the woods for a whole summer (4 and half months). I truly love it there. Its gorgeous.

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.

-Any songs from TLC or Ace of Base-- my neighbor also best friend would always get together and make up dances outside in the summertime then we'd get our whole families to come and watch the "show". We were 12-13ish, I think.
-Lenny Kravitz "I belong to you"-- this is the first song my husband sang to me when we started falling in love..and now its one of "our songs".
-Michael Jackson's "We are the World". This is the song I chose to sing (in sign language) as my talent for the pageant I was running in. With hours of rehersal- this song really stuck with me.

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.

-Madonna's "Secret"-- this is the song that i played over and over when i got my heart broken for the very first time. You may ask why that song? I honestly have no clue.

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?

- Warm Milk. Whenever I'd go to stay with grandma for the weekends as a little girl, right before bed she'd warm me up a small glass of milk and she'd call it "calming the tummy so you'd drift off easily and have good dreams"
- Holiday foods... When i was growing up, my family was big on the holidays, always had lots of food and big family gatherings and stuff.. unfortunately its not like that anymore but i truly loved that as a kid.
- Olive Garden (food in general)- When my husband and i started dating we'd go there all the time, a couple or a few times a week. Its a place where we really developed our relationship spending a couple of hours just talking over amazing italian food.
- Jif's creamy penaut butter... it was my great grandpa's favorite food, he's always eating this peanut butter toast.. with lots of peanut butter. He'd tell me this is the best way to make a pb toast ;)

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?

- I have a christmas blanket that my grandma made me... i just love it. It reminds me of the holidays, I'd have that blanket with me everywhere around the house.
- i have my wedding dress hanging in my closet, every now and then I'd go look at it and it brings back the memories of our wedding day. It truly was the happiest day of my life then.
- any plaid pajama pants... since my mom got sick with MS.. thats really all she ever wears now. she has like 30 pairs of them now.

In the "sic" link, I'm not sure the notes about usage of "Neither" starting a sentence are correct.

"Neither a borrower nor a lender be" is correct English and a well-known phrase.

Okay... While I'm glad you were checking out more than just the specific info I linked to, I only used that link specifically for the info on "sic". I didn't make the site and didn't bother to look at anything further on said site when looking for the "sic" info. If you believe that info on "neither" is incorrect, perhaps it would be best to comment to the maintainer of that site, as s/he would be able to correct anything that needs to be corrected.

ETA :: Actually went back to look at the site, and this info says that it's acceptable to start sentences with conjunctions.

1. Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.
I can't think of anything from the past. But I'm pretty sure that Jasmine will be the scent that reminds me of summer since I've been burning Jasmine candles all summer!

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
- A lot of Green Day songs remind me of certain times in high school. Mainly because I listened to them a ton back then. No one song in particular or any certain memory though.

- That song Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down reminds me of this one summer hanging out with Lisa and Kattie. Specifically of this one day where we went to Hurrican Harbor (waterpark). We were probably listening to it on the drive there.

- Father of Mine by Everclear reminds me of Ben because he once said that it reminds him of his shitty childhood.

I'm confident that 10 years from now, the Planet Smashers and Less Than Jake will remind me of now!

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
There's not a specific painful memory, just times in my life that I'd rather forget. My early teenage years where I was getting into all kinds of trouble. A certain Tool album (can't think of the name) and pretty much every song by Korn reminds me of these times because that's what I was into then. I guess it's a good thing I can't stand that stuff anymore! :)

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
- Gummy bear pancakes! lol! My grandparents let me make them once when they took me camping in their motorhome. It was the biggest mess I can think of. Don't try it lol!

- Chocolate chip pancakes! When I was a kid, whenever I spent the night at my friend Jenny's house, her mom would make us the best chocolate chip pancakes covered in syrup and powdered sugar. soooo good!

- Huevos Rancheros. They remind me of when Lisa and I were really into waking up early and going to Ihop. I always got their huevos rancheros.

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
- I don't really have any of these items anymore because they're so old. But there was this purple shirt that once reminded me of Ben. I was wearing it one time when he came home from the Navy and he told me that he liked it. So for some reason after he left, I'd think of him everytime I wore it.

- And I used to have a black cardigan that I wore a ton in high school. It reminds me of this time that we went to Disneyland because I was wearing it. For the longest time I had a picture that Lisa gave me of me sitting on the carousel making the most retarded face.

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much. Too many songs to try and pick out just one that brings me specific memories.

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?

Same as above.

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories? All I can think of is pizza, but thats because it's what I had for lunch... so no. :P

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person? No, I don't think I have any clothing that bring up memories.

1. Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share. Certain types of cigarette smoke remind me of my Aunt's house. Abercrombie Fierce always reminds me of my ex-boyfriend even though I no longer have feelings for him.

Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much. Hmm...none that I can think of. I associate different songs with different people but no specific memory.

How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Song title and memory, if you care to share that much.
Lately everyone I know has some line from "I'll Be Missing You" by P. Diddy on their profiles and stuff because one of our classmates just died about a month ago. It's a painful memory because I had known him for 8 years and was just becoming sortof friends with him, and he was my boyfriend's best friend. Of course just the general idea of him losing his life at only 19 years old is painful enough in itself, too.

Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories? McDonalds breakfasts (even though I don't eat them) remind me of my uncle who died, because we used to eat them together. A local ice cream place reminds me of my ex-boyfriend because we used to go there a lot. Freeze-pops remind me of a really good party I was at last year at school.

Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person? I have a pair of my boyfriend's PJ pants, a sweatshirt, and sweatpants that all remind me of him. I have a shirt that my friend used to always comment on, and I wore it to school the day after he died (not the same kid I mentioned above) so whenever I wear it I usually think of him. Certain sweatshirts remind me of certain years of my life but not a specific memory.

Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share. I have tons and tons of these. Lotions or perfumes I wore for a time, foods I eat during certain seasons, or the smells of buildings in which I lived or went to school. The most ironic would be the scent I used in a science fair experiment about the link between scent and memory; I didn't prove anything significant in regards to short-term memory, but now every time I smell ginger, I am instantly brought back to my basement where I performed the experiments!

Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories? Song title and memory, if you care to share that much. Lots do. My mom has always mentioned the year and what she was up to with every oldies song she hears on the radio, and I've begun to do the same. Once again, too many to list.

How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Actually-- not any of those I can think of right now. There are songs I like and songs I don't like, but it's nothing to do with memories. If I overplay a song during a sad period in my life, there may be a few months I don't want to hear it again, but I always eventually "forgive" it and listen to it again, imprinting new memories over it.

Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories? Summer food, like burgers and corn-on-the-cob. I think of summers at my family's lake house.

Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person? Not personally. I mean, if I see bellbottoms or mall bangs I think "70s" or "80s," respectively, but I don't link clothing to periods in my own life.

1.Smells, and memories. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory? Do share.
Tons of smells trigger memories: the smell of Estee Lauder lipstick reminds me of being little and being kissed goodnight by my mum before my parents went out to dinner. Warm cinnamon makes me think of the Easter we spent in Rochester (New York, not the UK) when I was 11 and my dad was out there on business.

2.Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?
The album 'The Beatles for Sale' is Christmas to me - for some reason that is the album we have always listened to whilst decorating our Christmas tree. 'Thrasher' by Neil Young reminds me of Saturday mornings when my dad would wash our hair, and Lucy and I would jump around on my parents' bed when he was trying to comb and dry it.

3.How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Anything by The Calling reminds me of our holiday in Tuscany 4 years ago where my dad told us (on day 2 of a 14 day trip) that he was leaving.

4.Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
Digestive biscuits with cheese remind me of weekends in Summer when Lucy and I would play outside when Dad was gardening, and he would make us 'elevenses' of digestives with cheese and lemonade in pink plastic cups.
