1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you? In 7th grade 3 of my friends threw me a suprise party. I HATE attention being on me, but it was a really thoughtful gesture.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you? Hmmm...I'm not really sure. Maybe given me directions somewhere?

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them? A girl that I used to be really good friends with, now more like aquaintances, is completely selfless. She puts everyone before herself. She'll pick you up if you're stranded somewhere no matter what time it is. She's genuinely nice, but pretty outgoing and loud which turns people off at first. But she really is a very nice girl.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them? I hate people that love drama. I avoid drama like the plague, which is why I have a lot more guy friends than girl friends. People that are obsessed with drama are going to pull me in to it, so I am instantly turned off from people like that.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you. Well. My "best friend" from 4th-12th grade got a boyfriend in 8th grade until about the end of 10th and barely hung out with me although we live 3 houses away from each other. Then in 12th grade when I got a boyfriend, talked a ton of shit about me. She got a new boyfriend and never wanted to hangout with me. I didn't see her or talk to her at all for the entire summer after 12th grade and then the MINUTE her boyfriend dumped her in August, she texted me to hangout. I told her no and that I know she only wanted to hangout because she now had no boyfriend, so I told her no. And, we haven't spoken since! That was August 2007. Since then she's basically completely deleted me from her life. She tried to blame it all on me and told me I didn't put any effort into our friendship, deleted me from myspace, facebook, blocked me on AIM, etc. I'm over it though, my life's better and less stressful without her immature drama.

I'm all kinds of friends only, so...
1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
Probably, realizing when I needed some space and backing off.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
The way my neighbors immediately took me in, I think, though I don't know if that counts as "strangers". If you count 'real' strangers, I'd like to point out everyone who ever helped me back up again in a mosh pit.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
Energy, passion, people that radiate life.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
A negative attitude, general obnoxiousness.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
Someone who was a major part of my life for five years turned their back on me and united with the people we had despised together.

Journal is friends only.

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you? Hmm. Tough call. My friends are pretty awesome but I can't think of one specific thing that's been done that just blew me away. But, I have a terrible memory, even for things that were meaningful at the time. The amount of driving me around my friend Stephanie's done since she got a car and I didn't has been, compounded, really awesome.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you? I'm being taken in as a boarder by a family I really don't know. One of my friend's boyfriend has a rather large household that already has boarders and regular guests, and my friend pulled her strings with his mom to agree to let me board there for the summer, too. They hardly have a convenient space for me, and already have an exceedingly full household, so I am incredibly grateful that his mother has agreed to lend me some space to board, too. Being able to escape my parents, finally, is an amazing prospect. Renting an apartment just for summer break is incredibly impractical, so being able to rent space on the couch instead is a real stroke of luck.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them? Humor. I love people who make me laugh. With them, not at them; people that I feel the need to laugh at are also people I don't really enjoy.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them? Complete hard-headed willful ignorance. People who refuse to open their mind to other opinions and reality, who are ignorant because they refuse to learn anything, really do not work for me.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you. My mother gave my cats to our old vet to rehome after I moved out and in with my father due to a mix of being kicked out and needing to gtfo. I am never going to forgive her for this selfish decision.

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
Just been there when I needed to talk... that and get me tulips on my 18th birthda8 (I hate roses)

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
not a big fan of interacting with strangers unless I have to

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
love of animals

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
being cocky

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
Oh where to start... Had a supposed friend tell me that she was having a graduation party and wasn't going to invite me; a friend gets pissed because I told a friend of mine (whom she doesn't like) happy birthday; and some girl (a freshman) stole my debit card, took money from my account (she hacked the card); sent it to her sister 80 miles away and she used it; my former bank refused to give me my money back and now I get to testify in court against her... I've had a tough year to say the least.

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you? I have such a horrible memory and while I’m aware there are specific moments in time where a friend has done something really nice for me I can’t think of one. Ah never mind. XD I think I remembered something. Anyway~ I probably have to say my girlfriend and her parents being a second family to me is the nicest thing any friend or whatever has ever done for me because they just welcomed me and all my fucking baggage into their home. Hopefully they don’t regret it. XDD

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you? The only thing that comes to mind is the time I was on a city bus heading to my girlfriend’s house. I was about to take a seat when the bus started moving and if it hadn’t been for this guy sitting next to the seat I wanted to take grabbing me I would’ve had a very personal moment with the floor.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them? Sense of humor and creativity. Oh and niceness helps too.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them? Close minded idiots who try to force their opinions on me.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you. Hm well I have many, many stories because some people in my life suck ass so I’ll have to get back to you on this.

I avoid strangers, so I don't have an answer to this

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
humility

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
too much arrogance

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
When I was recovering from abdominal surgery last year, one of my friends came to visit me the day after I was discharged and just sat with me for a couple of hours even though I was drugged up on painkillers and not really talking very much. I really appreciated it because she was the only friend who bothered to visit me even though I was confined to my bed for weeks.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
I was once really upset on a night out, and was crying by myself in the ladies' room. This girl who I've never seen before in my life just came and gave me a big hug.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
Confidence (but not over-confidence), not being judgemental, not feeling the need to act like everyone else just to fit in.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
Being manipulative.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
This girl at school tried to get me disqualified from my exams by accusing me of plagarism. Although everyone knew she was lying, it cost me my friendship with someone I'd been very close to.

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
Out of the blue, I got $150 from the least expected of sources - someone who knew I was drowning in bills, but from whom I wouldn't expect that kind of gesture. I was *almost* comfortable for awhile - until the whole $100 MEOW readoption fee thing :(

There's also the friend who picked me up from the hospital and drove me home, after visiting me in the hospital a couple of days earlier, even though he HATES hospitals, and my wonderful friend that made sure my kitty was fed and ran other small errands for me while I couldn't drive and generally made my life pleasant instead of unbearable, after my complicated broken leg.

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
Picked me up, put me in a car and drove me to the SAIT clinic? That's probably the sum of it.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
A mix of intelligence and sense of humor. Smart, but warm about it.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
Cockiness/sense of entitlement. ie certain customer bases that I've interacted with. I think the squeaky wheel should be broken, not greased.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
My first roommate shared my car, didn't pay for anything other than gas (and even that was laughable), and got a Multanova ticket and then refused to admit responsibility for it. $72 I didn't have. Jerk.

Oh and there was whoever stole my chequebook after I invited them in for drinks during Red Mile festivities and took $500 from my account. I got it back, but it very much complicated life for awhile.

"MEOW readoption fee thing" = the charge the shelter I got my cat from charges to readopt their animals, that I was faced with when I had to move in with someone who wasn't kosher with kitties in the house :( That was almost all the money I had :(

1. What's one of the nicest things a friend has ever done for you?
I can't really think of anything at the moment, but my friends have done lots of nice things for me...

2. What's one of the nicest things a stranger has ever done for you?
I don't know. There aren't very many strangers around here.

3. What is a trait in another person that you instantly admire, and that draws you to them?
I think being reasonable and cutely thoughtful are things that turn me on to a person.

4. What is a trait in another person that instantly repels you, and prevents you from forming a close relationship with them?
Obnoxiousness, big-headedness, attention whoring.

5. Time to vent: tell us about something rotten someone has done to you.
For some reason all I'm thinking of right now was in 7th grade when my boyfriend broke up with me over the phone, after not talking to me for a long time. That was super lame.
