1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?

It depends. On the fiction side of the arguement. The only things worth anything in life you have to earn, to put up some fight for. The little league trophy you get for showing up just doesn't hold the same place as your college degree. However, there can be a strong enough initial attraction to start a lifelong relationship. In an instant two lives can change.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?

Fiction. There is no such thing as predestination. We have free-will. Any higher power may have a path that they would like you to follow, but ultimately you are free to decide what you do.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?

It's plausible. It's not my chosen religion but the belief that when you die you return to the source to start over until you achieve total understanding is beautiful.

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction?

Fact. There has to be more than this. A couple years ago I had a near death experience and you certainly feel something. I can't describe it, but there is something else going on.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?

Fiction. Seriously!?!

1. Love at First Sight: Farce. Love takes years to develop, I don't care who you are. However! Picking up on some instantaneous spark that, if properly cared for, could grow into the love of ages, is entirely possible.
2. Fortune Telling: Much like seeing spirits and aliens, seeing the future is one of those things that I believe in...but I'm entirely too aware that there are deceivers among the genuine. And the ratio isn't in the favor of those that are genuine.
3. Other Life: I don't know. Part of me kind of would like to believe in the whole karma/dharma/rebirth thing. Part of me thinks that I am entirely unique and that there never has been, nor will there ever be, a mesh conglomeration of electrical impulses and genetic code quite like mine. I am a snowflake.
4. Afterlife: Same as above. Only, I'd add that...death is not the end. Regardless of what happens to us...it's something. Either, our bodies simply break down and become worm food, or we go to heaven, or our 'soul', whatever that is, carries on and exists in some higher plane...or something. I have no idea what that something is, since, to the best of my knowledge, I have never experienced it.
5. Bigfoot: Definitely real. I saw that movie about him....Harry and the Hendersons. Everything you see on television is real, right?

*Edit* I've seen the 'Other Life' suggested to mean other life forms. In this case, it is absolute fact. There is no way that human beings are the most developed nature has been able to come up with.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?
Definite fiction. Lust is at first sight.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
Unless you've invented a time machine that works, fiction.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?
We talking "split personality" here? ;)

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction?
Factually unknowable on this side of death, but I believe it to be fact. Not that I'm willing to top myself right here to find out (or allow certain people with God Derangement Syndrome to attempt to change my mind).

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?
Fact. I have two of them, one on each leg. :P

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?
Complete bullshit. Lust at first sight, attraction at first sight, yes. For love, you have to actually get to know someone.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
Well, it exists, but it's bull; I'm assuming the latter is what is being asked.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?
...as in, extraterrestrial life? Extra-dimensional life? Reincarnation? Whatinhell is being asked, here? *boggle*
I'll assume extraterrestrial life, in which case I'm going to go with Neither. LIKELY fact, but not fact until proven.

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction?
Again, same as Other Life: until proved, must consider open question. But likely fiction in this case.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?
Don't know, but probably crapola.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?
Fiction. You have to build love.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
I think it's fiction. I don't believe in telling the future because I don't believe in fate. You can change your future.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?
Again, fiction. I just find it far fetched. There isn't enough turn over to everyone to have had a past life.

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction?
My personal belief is fiction. Who knows though.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?
Haha fiction. Unless he lives in the deepest darkest rain forest or at the bottom of the ocean.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction? I actually think it's a bit of both. I think you can have feelings for someone right away that go beyond mere lust, but you have to actually work on building true love

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction? I've never had my fortune told, so I won't give an opinion one way or another

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction? I don't discount it, but I have no proof

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction? See above

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction? It could be true. It could be not true.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction? I wouldn't say love at first sight, but really-really-really-strong-attraction at first sight? Sure.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction? Most likely it's fiction, but sometimes it's fun to pretend.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction? Fact. The universe is far too big for humans to be the only intelligent life, and we are being rather egocentric if we truly believe we are alone in the universe.

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction? Up until very recently I would swear with my entire being that there was an afterlife. However, having given it some thought, I've come to realize that the prospect of some part of me continuing to live after my body and brain have stopped functioning is rather silly.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction? I honestly don't know. I'm not going to rule out the fact that such a creature may exist, but I've certainly never seen one.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?
Fiction. It's lust at first sight. There is no possible way that you can know you love someone just by looking at them.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
I'm undecided. Probably fiction though.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?

Wahay, scientific skepticism time!

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?
Doubtful. No doubt some people THINK they fall in love at first sight, but it's more likely infatuation at first sight that becomes love.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
FICTION. There has never been a psychic that has been scientifically proven to be correct outside the realm of lucky guesses and shaping the session.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?
In what context? o.O Let's say extraterrestrial life - I would say it's almost entirely likely, and I have no doubt that we'd eventually get proof of such. It all comes down to that last figure of the Drake equation, incidentally - if there IS life out there, does it last long enough for us to ever encounter? I have no doubt it IS out there, the Drake equation and the sheer size of the galaxy, let alone the universe (which has ONE HUNDRED BILLION galaxies!), says that much, but I wouldn't state it as out-and-out fact until we get proof.

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction?
Impossible to know or prove until you die, in which case, you can't tell anyone! So whether it's fact or fiction remains unknowable.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?
Hmm. There's nothing to disprove it, but there's nothing to PROVE it. Evolution does occasionally throw up some curve balls, and it's POSSIBLE, just unlikely.

1. Love at First Sight: Fiction - Call me a realist, but I just don't think it's possible. I think that's lust.
2. Fortune Telling: Fiction - I think there are certain people who are more open to receiving messages or being prophetic (sort of like Eli Stone, but without the singing, dancing, and Victor Garber), but I don't think that tarot cards and palm reading is real.
3. Other Life: Fact - I'm assuming this is life on other planets. I don't think that God would create a Universe of infinite proportions and create life on only one planet. Maybe we can't detect the life that lives on other planets within our reach. But I definitely believe its out there.
4. Afterlife: Fact - I don't believe that we're just done. I definitely believe in heaven.
5. Bigfoot: Fact - I just like the idea that he's real.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction?
Fiction. There is LUST at first sight, certainly. You can be attracted to someone at first sight as well. But actual love? No.

2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction?
Fact. You can figure out how someone's life might go if you know enough about them. The best fortune tellers in the world are those who spend time getting to know their clients.

3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction?
IF by other life you mean previous lives? Fact. I do believe there are some souls in this world that are not on their first trip around.

4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction?
Fact.

5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction?
Fiction. Come on, something 10 feet tall running aroundt he Pacific Northwest? There's no scientific proof that he exists at all. The yeti maybe, since there might be some vague scientific references over in Tibet. But not here in the U.S.

1. Love at First Sight: Fact or Fiction? Fiction. All that can happen at first sight is attraction. If you happen to fall in love with them later, its only coincidence.
2. Fortune Telling: Fact or Fiction? It depends how you do it. If you know a person well, you can often predict their future to an extent. However, I dont think you can predict others random futures with tools like crystal balls or cards.
3. Other Life: Fact or Fiction? Fact. It seems pretty selfish to believe were the ONLY ones out there. There are billions upon billions of planets and stars and galaxies, the statistical chances of more life is not THAT small. Besides, it doesnt have to come visit us, or even be remotely intelligent. Maybe its not even carbon-based.
4. Afterlife: Fact or Fiction? No idea. I dont really want to make a claim about it. It changes every few minutes or so, with me. I want to believe in some sort of afterlife, but I really dont know.
5. Bigfoot: Fact or Fiction? Lol . . . my Writing I professor freshman year was obsessed. I was pretty sure it was fiction, but he was so convinced (and showed us so many videos trying to convince us) I kind of wanted to believe, too. I see it as the sort of thing that theres no use really proving it or disproving it, as somebody ends up unhappy either way. And I like a little edge of mystery in this otherwise very scientifically-defining world.
