1. How long ago did you join LJ? 5-6 years ago.
2. How did you find out about LJ? A friend of mine on Neopets told me about it.
3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list? Nope. She doesn't use LJ anymore. :(
4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ? Yes I have! I used to push people to get one because I like to share my addictions. Most of them don't use it much, though. :(
5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? Basically public, with the occasional locked posts. I used to be totally FO, but I decided to change that when I got a new LJ.

1. How long ago did you join LJ?
I think sometime in early 2004. I don't really remember because I wasn't the one who created by account.

2. How did you find out about LJ?
My boyfriend at the time had an eljay and had decided to switch his posts to friends-only, so he obligingly made me an account (unsolicited) of my own so I could read them.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list?
Yes, but he stopped posting a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if he even reads his f-list anymore.

4. Have you introduced anyone to lj?
A few, but it mostly hasn't caught. The people I know who are inclined to keep up with something like eljay were generally already members, and those who weren't made accounts and never touched them again.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why?
Mostly f-locked, but there are a few posts I'll keep public either because I don't care much, or because people request that they be made open. It's f-locked as much as it is because some members of my extended family had fancied themselves real computer whizzes and managed to google up my journal...which I didn't mind, per se, but I did mind when they started airing my business in email form to anybody and everybody I'm related to instead of allowing me to do so tactfully on my own timetable. Completely justified, I'd think.

1. How long ago did you join LJ?
January 2004, so over 4 years ago.

2. How did you find out about LJ?
Some of my friends at the time had journals.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list?
I can't remember who specifically led me to LJ, so I can't be sure.

4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ?
My sisters. Maybe others as well but I'm not sure.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why?
Friends Only, because I like to know who's reading my journal.

1. How long ago did you join LJ? Been about five years, roughly.

2. How did you find out about LJ? Looking for a friend. (See next question.)

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list? You might say it was an indirect introduction. I was looking for an old friend, and I found her on LJ. We've both changed names a few times, but she's still there, at the top of my friend list, both on and off LJ. :)

4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ? A couple of people, maybe three, perhaps four.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? Because of certain people (offline) who don't have much of a sense of humor, it's friends-only.

1. How long ago did you join LJ?
Four years ago; I had my anniversary on the 17th. ;)

2. How did you find out about LJ?
Through [info]jean_prouvaire.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list?
Yes, of course! She's one of my best RL friends.

4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ?
I think I'm gonna take credit for [info]la_belle_ange and [info]619slemabov1 (my other BFFs).

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why?
Mostly public, semi-friends only, occasionally private. Usually I just chatter about funny school things and post film reviews, but sometimes I want to talk about people in my life and don't want to risk anyone coming over from Facebook and seeing it or anything.

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list? Yep
4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ? My sister (her account is deleted now) and my best friend Ian [info]virgobrowneyez who's still very new at this
5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? Use to be public but now it's friends only because there are assholes out there, and I made two enemies recently who use to be my best friends. Plus I heard employers are looking at/for their employees' blogs now.

1. How long ago did you join LJ?
Six years ago...or something that like; I can't be bothered to go check. It was around the end of 2002, basically.

2. How did you find out about LJ?
Friends, word-of-mouth

3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list?
Yep. [info]faemortel was the culprit.

4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ?
Not that I can recall.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why?
Little of both, actually; it's public to read, friends only to post responses.
'Way I figure it, I've got very little to hide, but people on the internet can be real assholes. So if only friends can post I avoid a double-wide buttload of controversy, but I'm not acting all paranoid and stuff, like the bullshit in my life is oh-so-secret (oooohh...!). I mean, c'mon...like the FBI, CIA, and NSA give a shit when I play Ultimate Frisbee or how much I drank at the Merc last weekend? Pfffft! But if they DO, they're gonna hafta talk to me about it in person! ;)

1. How long ago did you join LJ? My first account was from way back in June 2001. I made this account in Jan 2002, though.
2. How did you find out about LJ? Ha ha...umm, a person I used to chat with on AIM fairly regularly linked me to someone's journal. That's all I'm saying.
3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list? Yes, but this person doesn't really post any more.
4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ? Three of them are, and the fourth one and I were never on each other's flist.
5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? A combination of the two. There are things that I don't care if the entire world reads, yet there are things that I'm very selective about who can read it.

1. How long ago did you join LJ? With this username, August 2002, but I had another one prior to this one that I deleted and purged. I'm not certain when and how long that was.
2. How did you find out about LJ? Through [info]postmortemfame
3. If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list? Yes
4. Have you introduced anyone to LJ? Not directly, but my sister recently joined after she discovered mine.
5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? It's a mix of both, for no particular reason other than there are certain things that I want kept private, but other things I don't give a crap who knows.

How long ago did you join LJ?
Um – my original journal's userinfo says July 12, 2001. (I left that journal because of its name, which is pretty sad, but due to what it was HP fen kept harassing me about it. I still post things in it from time to time but just notes to self.)

How did you find out about LJ?
Um, I think it was in Skagit! Which became The Sinlahekin, and now many years later we have, uh, [info]the_sinlahekin.

If someone introduced you to LJ, is s/he still on your friends list?
No, because she doesn't use her journal anymore – but [info]bex and [info]synte are, and I've known them just as long (and from the same place).

Have you introduced anyone to LJ?
I know [info]pigeonoverlord and [info]ozziethemutt joined LJ due to me (one got the code from the other one, who actually hacked my journal in order to take one of mine, but I didn't actually care because I had a paid account) and I think there are other people, but I don't actually know who any of them are anymore.

Is your LJ public or friends only, and why?
My LJ is both friends only and with multiple filters – I have a lock that's just Beth and security going up from there, though I never post anything private – because I am a paranoid person and because there are very few things I won't say on LJ. Actually, there probably isn't anything I wouldn't say on LJ, though I would block some people from viewing it. (Not many. 99% of what I post, everyone can see.)

I just like to know who's reading it, though! This is why I friend everyone back. Because people who friend me are doing so so they can read what I'm writing. I don't actually read every journal I have friended, though I read 99% of them, too. I have no friending policy sort of thing, but I do have rules for the sorts of journals I'm actually going to look at.

1. Six years- started May 20, 2002.
2. Friends on teenopendiary.com
3. Yes, but she's inactive now.
4. Yeah, but they don't actually use it.
5. Friends only. I post pictures of my daughter that I don't want distributed around the internet. Also if I post something stupid, I'd rather my friends list point it out to me than random strangers.

5. Is your LJ public or friends only, and why? Friends Only.
I just didn't like the idea of people I don't know reading my thoughts and happenings in my life. Even more so now that I'm not friends with some people that know about my journal, I don't want them reading it.
