1. Who was your favorite teacher?
World Geography/AP Economics teacher whose name I will not mention.
2. Why was that teacher so special?
I actually already wrote about her but, basically, she made a lot of stuff really click for me. I would hang out with her after school (and I'm still hoping to for next year) and she ended up teaching me about a lot more than David Ricardo and Jared Diamond.
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?
Some get paid more than enough for what they actually accomplish and others could never be paid nearly enough.
4. Do you have a favorite year of school?
So far it's been my Junior year of high school but my Senior year looks like it's going to be pretty awesome too.
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?
Things will get easier, you won't be painfully shy forever. There will be a time where you will look forward to going to school. You will see your AP scores, shrug your shoulders, and realize that your AP Econ teacher was right - they're really just numbers. Get a book and teach yourself Geometry before taking the SATs - you'll find that that silly excuse for a class in eighth grade isn't going to be enough to make your math scores look like you know what you're talking about.

1. Who was your favorite teacher? Mr. Sessoms-a math teacher
2. Why was that teacher so special? He helped me get through math (a very difficult subject for me) and he was also my mentor
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough? On the whole, no, but I do think that some teachers tend to be greedy
4. Do you have a favorite year of school? 1993 because that was the year I graduated and was able to get out of that nightmarish part of my life
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say? "You don't have to put up with people teasing you"

1. Who was your favorite teacher? Mrs. Venturini. We called her "Ms. V". She wasn't at the time, but looking back she was.
2. Why was that teacher so special? She cared, alot, for her students. And she was passionate about teaching and what she taught.
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough? Well she didn't. She worked at the dinky private school I attended, that paid a helluva lot less than public schools paid their teachers.
4. Do you have a favorite year of school? not really. 10th grade was okay. As was 2nd.
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say? "When you move out of this hellhole and start your real life, things get alot better."

1. Geog teacher, last year and 2 years ago (Sec 2, 3) :) Social Studies, this year (Sec 4) :)

2. Geog: Because she let us do fun stuff! :) Irrelevant to academics, but then interesting and fun zz (like growing hydroponics! Except after the plants grew to the height of my index finger, then after that only the maggots grew :P) And last year, we did models of landforms which turned out cute :) & also because of a pleasant personality, ;)

Socials: She actually shows interest in what she's teaching (oohyay, because how interesting can Social Studies be?) :-) She makes a boring subject actually not that bad, lol :D && partly also because of pleasant, not boring personality as well. Haha I tend to find teachers whose personalities aren't "boring", more likeable. Lol maybe because they actually engage their students' interest, or something/ HAHA :)

3. Don't know how much my teachers are paid, :P

4. UM yes last year :) Class was very much fun because the decorations were bright and bubbly :) This year's is nice too, but less cheery, though. And classmates rock, ;)

5. I don't know. Even though I had "bad" grades in primary school, if I didnt get those grades I wouldn't be in this school now (with the most fabulous Choir mates/Choir conductress ever, seriously!) and if I didn't get the grades I did two years ago (streamed me into current class), then I wouldn't have got to know such lovely classmates, esp I got to know better those people in my class 2years ago, that I never talked to till now :) Wouldn't have had a chance to do that if not put into this class, :D

K that was like, very long/ lol :D

1. Who was your favorite teacher? Mr. Ives
2. Why was that teacher so special? He is the only teacher that has gotten me interested in science....and that is the only time I was interested.
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough? No. I was going to be one until I saw how much it didn't pay.
4. Do you have a favorite year of school? Yes, but not just one year.
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say? I would go back to 9th grade and tell myself to get awesome grades and go to college right out of high school and I'd have a better chance of not being in a stupid factory now.

1. Who was your favorite teacher?
My religion teacher from the grades 7 to 9, called Tiina.

2. Why was that teacher so special?
Because the subject she was teaching was considered rather boring and kids at that age (13-16) doesn't really pay attention to anything which is not cool, but she made it cool. She was always cheerful and energetic and she got everyone to listen or at least sit still, which is not evident fact for those upper level classes. And still she wasn't bossy or anything like that, despite of her age (30 or less) she had the needed authority.

3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?
No they don't. And most of them seem to have short-term employment contracts, which is not good...

4. Do you have a favorite year of school?
No.

5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?
Do some things better or study more on the 9th grade. But then again, in those circumstances, I wouldn't have probably done it any better even if I would have told myself so... I would just go and say "Don't worry, you'll do just fine" :)

1. Who was your favorite teacher? hmm....close, i'd have to go with mr. liminoff. who was my government teacher my senior year of H.S.
2. Why was that teacher so special? Really smart, really fun, really cute...(yes, he was young....not lusting over a dead body now.....) lol, what more could a hormonal 17 year old ask for?
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough? Hell no! If you use my graduating class as an example. We gave them hell the four year we were there, lol
4. Do you have a favorite year of school? Senior year. I had mostly electives classes, took marching band, beginning piano (i'd already reached a concert level privately, so i just did homework in that class), and a metals casting class.
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say? Just breathe, enjoy it. Date a little more, get caught a little less. Really, really, memorize those chemical formulas for chemistry....that was the most brutal final exam ever.

1. Who was your favorite teacher?

Mr. Brobst, my 12th grade English teacher.

2. Why was that teacher so special?

He was a very nice man and he displayed enthusiasm for the material. Also, he taught the class as if it were a college course and encouraged a lot of discussion, so we students were able to play an active role in the class. It’s been over twenty years and I still remember things from that class.

3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?

Absolutely not.

4. Do you have a favorite year of school?

Third grade was probably the most consistently pleasant year.

5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?

I would tell my high school self that my so-called friends are really a bunch of worthless, no-nothing assholes who, in spite of their pretentious aspirations to be ‘artsy’, are really spoiled yuppies and dull-as-dishwater housewives in the making. Also, I would tell myself to start saving for an early retirement.

1. Who was your favorite teacher?
Mr. Hanson, my 8th grade History teacher
2. Why was that teacher so special?
Because he was an unabashed Liberal in ultra right-wing Greensboro, North Carolina. While all the other history teachers were drawling that the Civil War was just a little misunderstanding, and teaching straight out of the textbook, Mr. Hanson tried to teach us to think for ourselves, and question everything. He planted the seeds of the political and philosophical views that I still hold today. In this standards-based, generic testing educational atmosphere that we have today, I truly doubt he’s still teaching.
3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?
Hell, no. But I am a teacher, so I’m not objective. We get paid a passable salary, but not for the education we are required to have or for the hours we put in.
4. Do you have a favorite year of school?
Junior year of college was the best. As far as grade school, none stand out as worse or better than any others.
5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?
Read more, learn more, and trust your intellect. Take better care of yourself physically and financially. Don’t waste time daydreaming about boys. Just take them for the amusing disappointments that they truly are.

1. Who was your favorite teacher?
Wow, that's really hard. In high school Ms. Dein, she taught English Comp. In college pretty much every professor I had, save for about three.

2. Why was that teacher so special?
She was such a hardass, but I got to see a different side to her and she just really wanted us to succeed the best that we could. As far as the college professors they were brilliant and encouraged every thought, even if it was stupid.

3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?
No, I think they should be offered more incentives because the world is seriously lacking.

4. Do you have a favorite year of school?
Probably my Junior year of high school - it finally stopped sucking!

5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?

Join more groups in college and make more friends!

1. Who was your favorite teacher?

This is difficult, because I had lots of teachers that I considered my favorite. I'm going to go with Dr. Day, one of my college English professors.

2. Why was that teacher so special?

Actually, for several reasons. I always liked Dr. Day because I thought he was funny, even though he grumbles about being stuck at a small town college and informs students how inferior we all are. I get that he has a ridiculous sense of humor and he picks on the people he likes. I've always looked up to him for what he's accomplished. I don't think he even realizes how much he's accomplished as far as I'm concerned. I respect him a great deal.

3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?

No, absolutely not. I think it's a damn crying shame that teachers are so short-changed today. I've always maintained that if there weren't teachers, there'd be nothing else. Particularly college professors, but as far as I'm concerned that goes for all teachers - elementary, secondary and collegiate alike. I think teachers are unappreciated in the way of salary and I've always felt that something should be done about it.

4. Do you have a favorite year of school?

Like... high school? Well, in high school I'd have to go with my senior year. I had a lot of silly fun that year, and it means even more because it was the last year I spent with my high school friends, most of which I'm not very close to anymore. As far as college goes, my favorite year(s) were probably my sophomore and junior years, because those years I spent the most time with my best friends Jessica, Justin, and Scott. The three of them moved out of the dorms we lived in when the graduated at the end of my junior year, so my senior year wasn't nearly as fun.

5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?

I would've told myself that all of those people who warned me against how easy it is to do poorly in school when you're away from home were right! And I would've told myself that those four (well, actually five) years of school would go by more quickly that I could ever have thought, and I'd only have one chance to do it right.

1. Who was your favorite teacher?
-My higher comprehensive school music teacher.

2. Why was that teacher so special?
-She was more of a mother and a sister to me than my real ones ever. I still keep in touch with her, and even though this is a secret, I'll share it with you: I'm definitely going to name my daughter, in case I'll have at least one, after her.

3. Do you think teachers get paid enough?
-Absolutely not. That's sad.

4. Do you have a favorite year of school?
-Comprehensive 9th. Just because of the teacher mentioned above.

5. If you could travel back in time and tell yourself something now that would have helped you get through school, what would you say?
-Sad but true, I'll go with "you won't lose it all, don't worry."
