thechosen -the Heralds of Valdemar, the oldest, and possibly the largest Mercedes Lackey community on Livejournal. This community was created to talk about Mercedes Lackey books and to share fan art or fanfics. It's completely open discussion with only a couple of rules to keep everything running smoothly.
Rules~
1) All posts, fanfics and fan-art must be kept to a PG-13 rating.
2) Fanfiction is allowed! Provided it follows these rules:
*All fanfiction should include a header with the following information: title, author, rating, disclaimer (citing Mercedes Lackey as the author and creator of the world of Velgarth, and of her original characters), summary. Authors should feel free to add to this information (like an author's note, for instance) but please be sure to have all these things. Code for the header provided below:
*Fanfiction posted on the community must be LJ-cut for length after the first 2 paragraphs' preview.
*Fanfiction posted to the community must have a PG-13 rating or milder. Anything more graphic can be linked to (please still include the header above) but cannot be directly posted to the community. Places to post the fic include your own journal, fanfiction sites (ff.net), or your own site. Violators will be warned and have 24 hours to remove the fic or it will be deleted.
Additionally, if the rating does not match the fic, the author will be notified will have a similar 24 hours to take whatever action the admins have requested.
*Fanfiction posted on the community must be LJ-cut for length after the first 2 paragraphs' preview.
3) When posting more than one picture please post everyone following the first using the LJ cut. If you're not familar with the feature, please go here and check it out. It's really easy to use and helps out everyone save in loading times and space on their friends page.
4) Please stay on topic with Mercedes Lackey or Valdemar related posts. If going off topic that still pertains to the community, please post "off topic" in the subject line.
