oh man
http://www.livejournal.com/users/cinderjewel/591528.html

it's really sad that someone posting a list like this would actually be serious and get all indignant over it

at first i assumed she was 14 and then it might be excusable 'cause at that age most people haven't really been exposed to much lit BUT she's 3 years older than me.

and then there is the fact that 1/2 of the list is children's lit...

Worse than that...she is 11 years older than me. Worse still...I'm still surrounded by people like her every day.

>it's really sad that someone posting a list like this would actually be serious and get all indignant over it

Yes...because we are all "closed minded"

I fear this isn't a joke...so I'm going to try and provide constructuve criticism before my head explodes.

More Dumas, more Wilde, more Poe...and Stoker is good too. Forget you ever read everything else you have read. Buy a book about literature, read it from back to front. Start off slow...I might suggest someone like Micheal Chabon. For the love of God...never pick up another Harry Poter book ever again.

Now...if you will excuse me... ahhhhh! kjh34rbkjfvcheifcejh *head explodes*

Yes, for the combination of Dan Brown and Poe; your literary knowledge runs deep.

This is truly the most pathetic list I've ever seen. I use the word pathetic quite carefully. It's not like you're a poser, because a poser could at least have faked up a better list. It's not like you're trying to make people hate you, because, well, that seems like an accident. It's just like you're a sad, small-worlded person who thinks you have some business in this rating community. I am sure there are book-related communities for book lovers of your caliber. This is not that community.

And folks: in her own words, she's not 'idignany, I just enjoy *laughing* at you!!!!!'

Idignany, I think I speak for the lot of us when I say adios. You're the kind of person who scares me when they pick a booger and think they've found a load of unobtanium.
