Have you thought about getting more involved at the core of Theatre@First and becoming one of the critical cogs that keeps it rolling? Now is the time! We need you. It's the time of year when we begin planning for Elections of our Steering Committee Officers. Steering Committee is open to all, and we have monthly meetings for managing the organization, planning its course and choosing shows. At the core of this committee are our Officers, who are elected for one-year terms. In June we will do the voting. As of now, we are accepting nominations and self-nominations for all offices. Please consider becoming part of theis vital team. Any person who has worked on at least one show in the past year is eligible to run for an office, whether that office is currently occupied or not. Anyone currently holding an elected post is welcome to run for it again. I have posted on the Yahoo group a PDF outlining the specific duties of each office. A few items: * If you are currently an Officer and you know definitely that you want/need to step down, please let me know ASAP so we can get recruiting rolling. Otherwise I will presume that you would be willing to serve again if elected. * Please DO NOT nominate someone before asking for and receiving their permission. * We hope you'll want to run for an office, but no dirty politics, please. Run politely and in the spirit of unity. No getting ugly, or I'll have to throw you under the bus! * Please let me know no later that May 15 if you want to run, and please plan to either attend the May 18 Steering Committee meeting, or to get me something on paper prior to then. Offices (all currently occupied unless otherwise noted): PRESIDENT VICE-PRESIDENT ARTISTIC DIRECTOR TREASURER CLERK TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR PUBLICITY COORDINATOR NOMINATING COORDINATOR ARCHIVIST - (vacant) WEBMASTER To find out more about each position, please see the PDF on the Yahoo group or ask me to email it to you. Great things will be happening in the coming year. I hope you will want to share your talent and time with Theatre@First. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, -Mare Wed, Apr. 30th, 2008, 05:37 pm

It's probably not worth $20 and a trek to Belmont merely for the pleasure of seeing me as Third Chorister From The Right, but if (like me) you're a Broadway musicals fan who has managed to not actually see very many classic Broadway musicals, here's your chance! Tue, Apr. 15th, 2008, 09:54 pm
