the_triage, the premiere ER icontest for the NBC series based on other icon challenge communities. Your local moderators are

1. You must be a member of the community to enter and vote.
2. Your icon must meet LJ requirements - 100x100 pixels and 40kb in size.
3. Challenges and their requirements differ each week. All information will be posted along with the challenges.
4. You may enter three icons per challenge unless otherwise stated.
5. Don't post your icon anywhere until the challenge is over for anonmity purposes.
6. Don't enter old icons you think will fit the week's challenge - it defeats the object of this community! The submitted icons must be totally original.
7. You can ask your friends to come over and vote, but please don't ask them to vote for you specifically.
8. Please, please if you submit an icon for that week - remember to vote! (Just not for yourself!) We can always use the extra votes. Even if you didn't submit that week, if you could vote, it is greatly appreciated.
9. While these challenges are for still caps, animation is allowed for every challenge unless otherwise stated.
10. We don't run by a set schedule. All deadlines are posted with challenge descriptions and reminders (mid-week and 24-hour) are issued.

1. Upload your icon to an image hosting service that allows direct linking (i.e. Photobucket, ImageShack)
2. Post both the image tag and url (see below) as a reply to the challenge post. All comments will be screened.

Notes: If you are unsure about your submission, we'll gladly review your icon(s). The mods are around throughout the entire submission process. Also, you can submit your icons in separate posts. For example, you may enter two entries one day and another icon later that week.

1. You need to be a member of the community. No anonymous voting.
2. You don't have to enter icons to be eligible to vote. You may join this community for the sole purpose of voting.
3. Vote for your favorite three (3) icons in order unless otherwise stated. Voting is weighted - 1st place will receive 3 points, 2nd place 2 points, and 3rd place 1 point.
4. Votes will be screened.
5. Please don't vote for yourself.

Example voting format:
CH[number 1 or 2]: 1st, 2nd, 3rd

1. We will always try to post the winners a few hours after the voting deadline. If the winners aren't available at that time, wait longer.
2. All winning entries are posted in a dedicated post. We won't notify you if you have won.
3. Please give feedback to the winners and also let us know if you enjoyed the challenges. Feedback all around is always greatly appreciated, and it creates a warm, community feeling.
4. Winners will have to wait several days for winner banners. If there is a problem with your banner(s), please notify the winner banner maker for that week.
5. Please comment when saving your banner(s). We need to know that you have swung by and picked up your new possession.
