This is the last season of Stargate: Atlantis.

I just woke up - what? I know! Don't judge me! - and this is the news I see when I pop onto LJ. I'm seriously heartbroken about this. Just another in the let down that is my TV viewing pleasure.

I realize that five years is a good solid run for a TV series, but we were just getting to some more really good stuff.

Woolsey as leader of Atlantis was doing a remarkable job.
The Wraith were under control - to a degree and we were about to be introduced to a new bad guy.
Teyla's character had a new element to explore - becoming a mother was a momentous occasion for her in Pegasus and the writers were handling that with a surprising amount of dignity and class.


I'm going to miss my show. I can list my tv shows on one hand y'all: Bones, Supernatural, Eureka, SG:A. That was it. I think I have to go mourn now. *sobs* Damn Sci-Fi.

ElfQuest is one of those stone age-type independent comics franchises from the late 1970s about...what else...Elves trying to make it in the big, bad world of the Two Moons.

It appears that WARP is putting every single ElfQuest-related comic online.

Just be warned: ElfQuest is massively dated, yo. When I originally read reprints of the original run (the original run was slightly before my time as a comics-reader), it was shiny and new, even by cracked-out, fluffy-pagan, elvish standards.

However, after 30 years since its original run if you're looking at it with fresh eyes you'll probably be rolling them. A lot of what's there is now practically cliché.

That said, the core story is still decent for the first three ElfQuest series. Once you hit the "Hidden Years" arc, things start to get a little bit threadbare.

Still, a free look-see online can only benefit people who are interested in checking out what was once a massive comics phenomenon and independent comics publishing success story.

I'm so pissed.

Fay knocked out my power about four or five times yesterday, and in one of those time, the compressor on my AC unit broke down. It's now 83 degrees in my apartment and rising. What? Soooo hooooottt!

*melts*

Someone accused me of trying to be a "BNF." What does that mean? I tried googling it, but turns out "BNF" can stand for a LOT OF THINGS. I'm pretty sure I'm not the Backus–Naur Form.

These kids today and their buggin' street slang, I swear...
