| | accomplished | ] | Hee, I just re-watched Spider Man 2 after going cold turkey for a couple of months. That Ock doesn't get any less spiffy with time. He's still absolutely gorgeous :D
Also, how about a Q&A thread? Imagine someone has got an exclusive interview with out beloved Ock, and can ask anything they want... An example might be: Q: After rampaging about for so long, and considering how much energy those actuators must take to run, why haven’t you lost any weight? A: Chocolates. All my fangirls send me chocolates. I come home from a bank robbery, and there’s a bloody enormous pile of them, all wrapped up in heart-shaped boxes. And it'd be a crime to let them go to waste. |

| | The Great Beyond- R.E.M | ] | So, I finally got my old computer set up from my old room and was fiddling around with some files. What I found was the original start to the Make Me Feel sequal. I had totally forgotten about it aparentally and had started a new one. I began reading what was there and decided it made what I posted look like crap.
So, I have decided that I will finish it and post it as the first chapter to the sequal that is already posted. I will change the name of what was posted, Reunion, to what it was originally going to be, In Time Apart.
And fore warning, this long lost chapter is also the long lost first time that Otto and Zachary make love. ;) |

| Otto, T.S. Eliot, and me |

| | a house remix of "Call On Me" | ] | Otto in the movie said, "But if you want to get a woman to fall in love with you, feed her poetry. Never fails."
I'm taking the good Doctor's advice. Yesterday, with asciilifeform and devvieish, I browsed the shelves of Second Story Books for poetry. My eyes fell on a book of T.S. Eliot. I smiled (they talk about Eliot in the movie) and opened the book up. It opened up to the page with this: "Time present and time past are both perhaps present in time future" (this was quoted in the comic book adaptation of the movie.)
I knew I had to have it.
So, I'm taking the S2 bus home, up 16th Street. I'm reading the rest of the poem.
...and, after reading it, I have to agree with Otto in the movie again. T.S. Eliot IS more difficult than advanced science. Otto said "I still don't know what he was talking about." I concur wholeheartedly.
Any "Rosies" out there that get literature that could help me get T.S. Eliot?

| Long-Suffering Vector Ockie |
[Nov. 17th, 2005|09:44 am] |
Hello all! I had my last Graphic Design clas of the year yesterday, and felt I needed to mark the occasion with something special. I drew this on Illustrator, then stuck it in the back of my VPD (Visual Process Diary, where you put all your sketches, research etc.). It really is appropriate, seeing as I have little Chibi Ockies climbing all over the sketches and notes in the VPD.

| Flashy Ock |
[Nov. 12th, 2005|08:30 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | accomplished | ] | I taught myself how to animate things on Flash today (bwa ha ha), and as I did so I made a little animation to test my skills and try new things. Naturally it stars Ockie (who else would I spend an entire day drawing?), displaying the two main types of Flash animation (frame-by-frame and motion tweening). I don't know how to stop the animation, so it will loop, but you can tell where the end is.
Doc Ock goes eeeeviil! (289kb) (Music is "Dance IIIV" by Phillip Glass, storm sound effects are from a royalty free WAV site)
I'm now re-watching Spider Man 2 (well, the Ockie bits) and I had almost forgotten how rich the sound effects are. *closes eyes and swoons at all the wonderous tentical noises*
Hope you all like the animation! When I have more time, there shall certainly be more animated Ockie. |
