| About: | This is the First and the Original Community for the movie "The Notebook" which is due out in June 25,2004.  Synopsis (taken from the official site) "They say you never forget your first love-that's definitely the case in The Notebook, adapted from Nicholas Sparks' best-selling novel by director Nick Cassavetes (John Q) and screenwriters Jeremy Leven (Don Juan Demarco) and Jan Sardi. A sweeping love story told by a man reading from his faded notebook (Academy Award Nominee James Garner) to a woman in a nursing home (Academy Award Nominee Gena Rowlands), The Notebook follows the lives of two North Carolina teens from very different worlds (up-and-comers RYan Gosling and Rachel McAdams). Though her upbringing takes place in an antebellum mansion, while his is the kinda of house where musicians gather to jam on the porch, Noah and Allie spend one indelible summer together before they are seperated,first by her parents and then by World War II. After the soldiers come home, everything is different. Allie is engaged to a successful businessman and Noah lives alone with his memories and a 200-year-old house he lovingly restores. But when Allie sees an article in a local paper about Noah's handiwork, she knows that she's got to find him and make a decision once and for all about the path her life-and her love-must take."
