to_witness_a_miracle@hotmail.com About  Welcome to The Lucky Ones Die First! This is the first community to be ever created for uniting fans of the 2006 horror flick The Hills Have Eyes. Any discussion or media-sharing surrounding the film is welcome here. Please take a look at the Rules and our Resource Post for more info on what you can find in this community, and what types of posts are greatly encouraged.  01. First and foremost, this is a pro- film community. Movie/actor bashing is not welcome here. You may post reviews with negative remarks, as long as you shed a positive light on the film in some sense or form. In other words, a 100% negative post on the movie or one if its actors is NOT at all welcome. Keep in mind that this community was created for the fans. 02. Advertising is welcome, as long as it has something to do with the film or a member of its cast and crew. Therefore, advertising anything unrelated to the movie is foribidden. For instance, if you have a Harry Potter community - well hey, that's great! - but we don't want to see any pimpage for it here. ;) 03. Stay on topic. Although actor discussion is very much encouraged, we'd rather that the discussion be focused on their performance in the film. As an example, try to refrain from posts rambling about how gorgeous Aaron Stanford is. Save it for the Stanford communities, please. ;) Any off-topic posts will be considered as spam, and will most likely be deleted after the poster is notified. 04. Pictures, graphics, and all sorts of film-related media and goodies are DEFINITELY welcome. If you have a bunch of these things collecting dust on your hard drive, and have no idea where to post them, then this is the place for you! :D 05. Fanfiction is also very much welcome! Remember, this community is for anything and everything to do with the film, and fanfiction is included in that package. 06. And lastly, (and we know that every community says this) have fun! We want you to feel free to express your pro-film obsession here, without worrying about Anti-THHE fans to debate with!  The 2006 remake of Wes Craven's 1777 classic The Hills Have Eyes was written and directed by Alexandre Aja. It is based roughly on Wes Craven's version, with the same characters and general idea: a family road trip gone terribly wrong, after the family discovers that they have invaded another family's territory - a family of cold hearted, blood thirsty mutants. The remake, however, has a twist of controversy. In Alexandre Aja's script, the mutants are written to have been victims themselves - victims of nuclear testing, arranged by the American government in 1945. Refusing to leave their homes, the government continued with the bombing while the habitants escaped into the mines. The survivors transform into the villains that we see in the film: physically deformed and unaturally strong mutants, who have a certain cannabalic taste for people who happen to be merely "driving by"... You can experience the journey of the modernized Carter family today, on DVD and VHS. A load of special features and uncut footage is available on the Unrated DVD, and is highly recommended for diehard horror fans. :D  All links and affiliates for  the_luckyones can be found in our Resource Post.
