I have a question about the limited edition vinyl of Goodbye Blues. I ordered mine at the end of January and IT NEVER CAME -_- I'm wondering if anyone else ordered it too and received it :\ I checked my order status and it still says pending. Anyone know anything about this? |

I don't know if we're allowed to ask questions, so delete this if need be, mods.
Does anyone have the link to the video where Greta talks about girls in the music industry and how girls sometimes play into the problem because they are fine staying fans? If I remember right, she was talking in her hotel room with a friend. Sorry if the description was unclear.
Thank you in advance. |

Hey everyone, I'm new to the community, even though I've loved you guys (the hushies :) ) for about a year or so now. This morning my friend e-mailed me a new interview that Bob and Greta gave, below is the linkage for those who haven't seen it yet.
In a sort of responce, assuming you lot (the hushies) check out this stuff...I want you all to know that I'll support you guys in anything you do, with the solo work, the short stories (which Bob, I would love to read), and this musical your writing. My friend's concern is that it's going to be like Razia's Shadow...I don't know how I feel about it, but as I said I'm still going to support you guys and your work. I would really just love to hear some new music, solo or with the band (preferably with the band) and see you guys on tour again.
I adore you all, Greta is my inspiration to keep learning the piano, and Bob you have inspired me to aim to learn the guitar (hopefully this fall) so know that my love for you guys will never fail.
Anyways....here is the linkage for my fellow fans :) http://www.studlife.com/cadenza/q-a-with-the-hush-sound-1.1711478 PS. This morning the website was going bazurk on me, it still is. If you get a message that the site can't be displayed or something, message me or comment on this and I will copy and paste the intreview to you, since that's what my friend had to do for me! |

| The Atlanta Show |
[Nov. 23rd, 2008|09:31 pm] |
The Hush Sound hit the stage a few minutes before 7 pm. They played for a meager, though expected, 25 minutes. I think they played one new song, but it was pretty much, again, as expected, the crowd pleasers that got played. They hit the stage rockin' and didn't let up for their entire, brief, allotted time. Is "Chris", the bassist, a returning Chris Faller? I don't think so, but it's hard to be sure from the pics (distant)
The other three bands were much better than I was expecting. My son and I were fully prepared to leave after The Hush Sound, but stuck around to hear the other bands when each turned out to be (mildly) interesting. None were a match, musically, for The Hush Sound though If Bob and Greta and the boys had had even 45 minutes they could have worked their repertoire and the audience into a proper frenzy.
We were sitting in the first balcony dead center, so the sound was good. This is the best sound I've heard with the band, a seemingly consistent problem here in Atlanta for them.

| Tonight for the 5th time. |
[Nov. 22nd, 2008|02:57 pm] |
Tonight I'll be attending my 5th Hush Sound concert. The first time there were maybe 150 people in the audience at The Masquerade which has a really lousy sound system - the P.A. is literally 2 speakers that would not be out of place in my living room. The memorable thing was that everyone in the audience (mostly girls) knew all the lyrics. That is very unusual for bands that perform at this venue.
At all but one of the previous shows the band has been either one of the support acts or there were 4 other bands which limited the time each band had to perform, so they played a max of 40 minutes. The last time they were in town (in August 2008) they were the headliner in a joint with a 300 person capacity. The sound system at The Loft is mediocre, though better than at The Masquerade. They played for about 70 minutes - GREAT!!. They even did a new song (I Believe in Barack Obama - a hoot) and a cover (Back in the USSR - better than you'd think)
I've checked out the other bands on the "Tag this Tour" show and, they just don't measure up to The Hush Sound. We, my son and I (he's 15, I'm 50) may stay to see the others, Depends how late it gets and how interesting the bands are performing live. Some bands can perform well, bringing something extra to their recorded oeuvre, some are a pale shadow of their studio-enhanced selves.
When is The Hush Sound going to do a proper headlining tour at a venue (in Atlanta) with a decent sound system? The Variety Playhouse would be perfect.

| Saw 'em in Denver |
[Nov. 10th, 2008|10:56 am] |
I just saw your band and the Spill Canvas open in Denver for OneRepublic. Honestly, I only paid to see the Spill Canvas, wasn't too interested in OneRepublic, and I had never heard your music. However, your performance at the Fillmore was nothing short of AMAZING!! You certainly blew the other bands out of the water. As soon as I got home, I downloaded two of your CDs. I wouldn't hesitate to spend $40 to see you again in concert! Keep it up, kids.

On another note, does anyone know why a few of the tour dates with OneRepublic have been changed? |

| Vote Greta! |
[Nov. 8th, 2008|09:52 pm] |
Kerrang! is a British alternative music magazine and I would really love to get Greta at least in the top ten for the Sexiest Female. Thing is, hardly anyone knows THS over here, so she ain't doin' so well at the moment! :-/
But we've still got a few weeks left to vote - if we all work our little butts off, I'm sure we can get her there. It'd be so nice to see the band's profile raised a little in the UK.
So go vote! You can do it as many times as you like --> http://promo.kerrang.com/kerrang/kerrangpoll2008/# |

| selling some cds |
[Oct. 28th, 2008|09:47 pm] |
Hey guys, I'm selling some of my cds.
I am residing in Australia, so if you live in Australia, it will be $10 + $3 shipping. For those in the US and other countries, it will be US$7 + US$4 shipping. If buying more than one, I can combine shipping. Also, please note that I have only played each cd once, and that was to rip all the songs onto my computer.
( click me for a list. it is in alphabetical order :) )
Thanks :) ...and sorry if this isn't allowed! |
