I looked at upcoming solicits, and I noticed that Runaways #13 will have a 70th Anniversary Variant by an unnamed artist here:

The covers for the X-titles seem interesting (minus the cover for Legacy - I really do not like that picture of Rogue).

What do you expect from this variant? Would you buy it, anyway, just 'cus it's Runaways?

So Chase discovered that there are 3 phrases that will cause Victor to shut down temporarily, and that they involve the fact that he is super religious and super logical.

We already know that one is "could god make a burger so big even he couldn't eat it" (or something like that, I don't have the book in front of me.)

I think another will be a variation on the problem of evil: if god can stop evil, but doesn't, he is malevolent; if he can't, why call him god?

I have no idea what the third one might be. Any ideas?

So I came across a Harry Potter tattoo community here at LJ, and though a mix of "That's insane." and "That's pretty awesome." And I'd like to ask if anyone here would get a Runaways inspired tattoo? Or if anyone has one already?

I'd like to get the Team Battle cry. "Try not to die." I'm totally in the planning stage where I'm too broke and in fear of getting Hepatitis from a third world tattoo palor, so I'm all talk right now.

Some ideas would be like the Staff of One, one of Molly's hats, and Old Lace...

So I'm doing 3 2 hour coloring workshops for Anime Expo.

Basically what it sounds like, a beginner (and I MEAN beginner) intermediate, and advance photoshop workshop where you'll be able to bring your laptop and follow along with my demos if you'd like. Well, sorta. You won't have the files I have but you can try out stuff.

If enough people bring laptops Emily Warren will also be helping with the workshop.

I will also be passing out notes and stuff at the workshops. That's a helluva lot of printing I'm investing in, but I figure it's worth it to do it right. :)

This'll be my third year doing this, and I'm hoping that by now most of the kinks will be ironed out. :P If I can't answer a question you have, please don't knife me. ;_; I'm not an ALL KNOWING PHOTOSHOP BEING I just know what I use day to day and hopefully something I blabber on about will help you.

And like last year, I'll be doing a Lucy in the Sky coloring demo to show you what you can do with channel special effects during the Photoshop 103 class.

Any of you goin?

OH YEAH and I have a table in Artist Alley. I'll have run prints amongst other things. :D

an INCREDIBLE issue, eh? What did you think of it?

What I really enjoyed about this issue was that Immonen got the characters' personalities on the mark. But the very end of the issue was (in my opinion) one of the best Runaways-moments since BKV's era. I pray to god Pichelli doesn't leave drawing duties - her visuals and the panels at the end still leave me stunned until now. The death was horrific, alright ...

Ive read Runaways since the third issue. Not the third third issue; not the second third issue; that's right: Ive been reading the Runners non-stop since the very First time Old Lace was revealed. I've also been a part of this community several different times throughout the years, but I have a nasty penchant for forgetting my account names/passwords and starting over without taking care of due internet process. Now, I love Runaways and all things BKV, so I had to ask: are any of the other caballeros having difficulty getting to the Ships and Giggles Messageboard? Supposedly the link is still active, but I cannot get anywhere near the site without getting a blank-screen, and I haven't heard any chatter on the waves about it's closing, so I hope that I am the only one having this problem. Any help?

Hey there new to this community :D I have loved runaways forever and I'm currently working on some fanarts and a sculpture of Karolina for my art class.

I have joined so I can keep updates on any new runaways stuff, and maybe anything on the possibility to the movie in a few years :3 if there will be one I am so there.

Well, we have exactly two weeks before we fall under Kathryn Immonen's reign. Are people optimistic about the upcoming story arc?

By the way, what do people speculate's going to happen?

This scares me a lot; but it shows that Marvel has a lot of hope for the series, which is great. (: Or, hope for the digests, at the very least. The sales for the digests are incredible, compared to the issue number on the page.

So, I haven't seen a posting for discussing the Secret Invasion 3 book run (if I am mistaken, apologies, I will delete this).

For those not in the know, it takes place immediately after the return to the present, and before the Runaways head back to Cali.

There's some Xavin background, and Klara's first impression of this brave new world (that has such people in it), and, obviously, Young Avengers.

So, questions, comments, witty asides?

Someone mentioned that a new Runaways hardcover (volume 5, if I'm not mistaken) was coming out soon. Have marvel mentioned a release date yet?
