Strip Update: Making Memories. [Oct. 17th, 2006|12:15 am]

pholph
And now, the Strip is updated. Last in the series done by the -Amazingly- talented Jude Fisch.

There may or may not be a small "story" hiatus while we build the backlog up. I will probably fill the hiatus with concept art, etc. Perhaps re-release the "Lost Time" first story with "Author" annotations... (any interest in that?)

But for now, the end of the short story. One of the older pieces in my backlog of writing.

---
Also, if anyone out there is an artist, or knows an artist, looking for a webcomic writer to draw for... I have a lot of additional stories I could offer, like this one here.

Until next time!

Strip Update! [Oct. 10th, 2006|04:15 pm]

I really love Jude's character designs, Elvira's rather very expressive in just so many ways.

I must admit that Grimm's pupils in the last frame, were not initially there, but added "in post" because of how I saw how Jude had drawn him, and "Hey, it could look like... Lets try that!"

Ooh! Another update! [Oct. 5th, 2006|07:40 am]

pholph
I love this story. And Jude's care and skill in rendering it out makes me squeal with almost fanboyish glee.

Little notation on something that may catch your eye.

Ellie and Eyebright have unusual tails. (And no, they are not kitsune. No, seriously, not at all. Not even slightly Kitsune.) Elvira has two, one normal one (The thick white fluffy one you see) and one 'nonfunctional' tail, basically containing no bone structure. (And without bones, even if it was all muscle, it couldn't move.) She keeps it wrapped around her 'normal' tail for the most part.

Eyebright has three tails... As for wether she has any control over one, or more of them, is still unknown.

(which is a cop-out way of saying "I really haven't decided yet.")

Strip Update! [Oct. 3rd, 2006|12:08 am]

Part 3 of Jude's awesome work.

For the record, Grimm is 6'8", Basically his description is "Me +10%"
The woman is his wife, Elvira, or "Ellie", the little kitty is their daughter, "Eyebright", she's about two.

This is one of my favorite story segments ever.

I really love Jude's character designs. There may even be a familiar face or two in this one. 8)

New story Arc,, "Making Memories" [Sep. 26th, 2006|12:05 am]

pholph
Special Treat! Today starts the beginning of a new story 'Arc', drawn by the incredible Jude Fisch! I really love this story, its one of my older writings, and other than a single quote, is totally unchanged from its original. Jude has done a -wonderful- job on this, Go Check Out More Jude Art!

I'm putting this piece in now, rather than in a few months. Spain, the main artist of the strip, is in the middle of College Joy, and what kind of task master would I be if I demanded her to think of me first? 8)

That said, I have a few additional pieces, like this short, that could always use an Artists' Help...

And once again, -Very- much thanks to Jude Fisch for the invaluable help in bringing this to life.

Wow, Holy Crap. [Sep. 22nd, 2006|11:39 pm]

OMG image under here... )

Jonas, aka [info]jonasbagel, of Dume webcomic fame. So very extra awesomely surprised me this evening with a picture in my inbox. I was joking with him about sending omg guest art, as "payment" for hosting his comic (disclaimer: I host Dume, as well as wrote the php that drives it. Oh yeah, I've known Jonas for.. a bloody long time anyway.)

And I thought he was joking...

Holy crap. At this rate, I may have to declare Friday "Art from Others" day.

(I may just do that, I have a nice assortment of art from other people, I'll start finding folk to get permission, and post new art each Friday...)

Coming soon.. OMG! Links Page!

Strip Update! [Sep. 21st, 2006|07:38 am]

pholph
(OMG! Topless lead character!)

Well... There's so many things that could be said about Today's Strip.

I -really- love the Heart boxers.

And so we put a close to this first modest segment. Too short to call it a chapter perhaps. So lets just call it "Scene I".

Ooooh. [Sep. 19th, 2006|09:14 am]

pholph
You know, I really think that the bone chair wouldn't exactly be comfy.

(And before anyone says 'hey, did he turn into a mouse?', thats just the perspective off his ears.)

I want a skeleton chair. Nobody would bother me in my cube...

New Strip: Guest art by Gene Catlow. [Sep. 13th, 2006|09:30 pm]

pholph
No strip today, but a piece of 'fan art' in more than one way. I'm a fan of his work, and a fan of the subject. Once, many years ago, after Gene and I had a nice, long conversation reminicing over Dr. Who episodes and more. (Long before the New Serie ever aired.) I asked him if he'd do a picture of my character, as My favorite Doctor of them all. And he did! And more. So, rather than a strip, here's that picture that I've been given permission to share. Featurng Nate as the Tom Baker era Dr. Who, Trixi as Romana, and Tet as K9.

Okay... so its about this time where things start getting revealed?

Or... Is it time for more questions?

Speaking of which, any questions?

Strip Update! [Sep. 7th, 2006|07:44 am]

pholph
Well.. I guess you can see why we didn't name the city... Why bother when... -that- happened.

And another three words strip! (Yes, I know, its two words, one repeated.)

City [Sep. 5th, 2006|11:46 am]

pholph
For the record, the city visible in today's strip is not San Fran, or Pittsburgh, Or even New York City.

But why would he be getting a bird's eye view of a city?

Strip Update!

For the record, in panel two, he does not become a lot thinner and taller, its just... camera angles.

I really love the expressions. Especially the "Oooh poop" on #1.

Strip... [Aug. 25th, 2006|01:19 am]

pholph
Now... why would you summon a group of people.. only to... ?

I believe Spain referred to this page as "The creepiest one I've done so far."

I'm just getting started on things.. 8)

OMG! Posting an hour before the update... [Aug. 23rd, 2006|11:07 pm]

pholph
Since I may not be on when it -does- update, I'm just going to pretend I don't know what the file is. And speculate what the two are doing...

1: The domain is "about damn time" In one semblance, its because it took me ten years from inception of the characters and story, to this point.

It also has something to do with the character you saw on the very first page.

2: The segment of strips, is called "Lost Time", while not an "Arc" title, to prevent spoilers, the Greater Story is called "Lost Time"

This too has more than one meaning.

3: Boy, that older rabbit (since they are both rabbits) Looks familiar. Someone told me they look like father/son...

As with everything else, there is more than one meaning here.

And so: In today's strip, which launches in 45 minutes from this moment, there are many things with more than one meaning.

And those with no name, are still relevant.

A new page... [Aug. 23rd, 2006|12:21 am]

Don't worry, While there is but one word on this page, I guarantee I will make up for it soon enough.

New Strip. [Aug. 22nd, 2006|12:03 am]

pholph
Good to see the auto-updater code is working just fine. Strip launched at midnight PST, just as I planned it to.

A shadowy figure? Perhaps the voice we heard before...
