After months of looking I finally found an episode of Campion. I made a few caps, and thought I'd share.
( 8 caps of Peter looking cute in specs and 1930s clothing. And one of Tristan, just because. )

This post, does exactly what it says on the Tin.
Post up your favourite Petey pix, in and out of character, Young and Mature, if you like em, there's a very good chance we all will as well.
( Cut as a convenient 'Swoon' Barrier. )
Your turn. ;)

I"ve got a little picspam posted over at my journal of various Peter Davison smiling shots from the Campion episode, "Mystery Mile". Feel free to take as you please. These made me giggle when I first saw the episode. :)

I think a few people here have at least been trying to read some of the Campion novels, so if anyone is interested
vintage_crime has just put up a discussion post for the work of Margery Allingham.
Sadly, my comment turned out to be novel length.

Ok, as you can see most of it is Straight forward, Screencaps, picspam, popular shows, a couple of the more popular DWs, the usual.
Downloads, as you can see are split into Audio and Video, the audio are mostly Rigor mortis, but there are a couple of other treats, See icon ;).
I will say here that some of the available downloads are in the comments so you may have to scroll.
A couple that I thought might be useful, 'Broken Images',
dark_pheonix I noted you have one broken post, is what it says on the tin.
Dead link is a bit more Catch all, It's mostly on non-working DLs,
coolcreek I see your already started re-uploading and I'm sure I speak for us all when I say Thanyou. It also cover in post links That no longer go anywhere,
leoniedelt I know you have you reasons, but your icons are now lost to us, or where I couldn't find a link, or had to dig for what was being pimped.
Question: Article, article/s or Articles for press clippings?
Pete general or PD general?
Photonumia or Picspam? (Sorry Jenn, I've never even seen that word before.)
Petey Porn is for all those nice chest shots.
Do you think we should have hat!porn and PJs!porn and Dressing-gown!Porn?
Mad conductor, ok It was getting late when I added this one. Questions?
Tristogasm, See above. Sadly the clip of that is one of the dead links, I had a look on Youtube and Couldn't find it, does anyone have a copy somewhere?
Crack, ;) Click it and see
mod post and Modslash are different :p
Um I think thats it really, most of them are self explanitory.
( Tag tips )
Last thing, I have to admit that I was slightly dissapointed that I didn't have reason to make a NSFW tag. Now I know that this comm wasn't set up as an OMG TEH SMUTZORZ!!!11! comm, and to be fair thats one of the things I like about it, but we are all, I think, legal age adults here and I don't see why, with appropriate Cuts and Tags, we can't share anything a lil more Edgey/Risqué we may find or create. Jenn! Yes/no?
( Last, last Thing, )
What do you all think about Fic?
Ok, this was longer than Expected and I hope I didn't seem patronising in parts.
Love and Hugs to all,
Phe
P.S. I give up, Whats the code for the cute little heart you can do, I had it here somewhere *Glares and mess*

I've been thinking...
*watches everyone run away screaming*
*Looks at the empty room*
*Decides to press on anyway*
This is a really nice, freindly little group with some obviously intelligent ladies in it, But very little discussion happening, outside the random *Squee*!post.
Nothing wrong with that, I like them, but I was thinking, as well as random Squee, how about so random debate/discussion?
I'll start:
Campion v The Last Detective
Prefference, Pros/Cons, Comment, How you discovered them in the first place, rewatchabilty, any other anything you wish to say... the usual.
*Looks at the few people who wondered back into the room*
Aaaaand GO!
Please note that there will most likely be Spoilers in the comments, ;)

I am a rather new fan of PD via Campion. I love the stories, the costumes, and especially PD. I hail from the U.S.A. and can't wait to get to know the PD community online. So that's the 30 second intro.
Here is part 2... I went a little cap happy but I couldn't help it, there were so many lovely close ups! Darn that pretty man and his pretty clothes!
( So much adorable beneath the cut )
Hope you enjoy!

Hey all! I've got some screencaps of the very lovely Campion to share, from Part 1 of Death Of a Ghost. Sorry they're not of better quality. Enjoy!
( 20+ caps and my own dumb captions--including an Izzard reference--await )
I'll start capping Part 2 when I get home from work!

17 of the little charmers.
( under here )
The first 6 are Allingham quotes (though I expect he probably says 'hullo' and 'I wonder' at some point: not so sure about 'fucksocks'). Poster image from US promo campaign, adapted and reproduced without permission (terribly sorry about that). There is no 18. (Doh.)
Do help yourselves. Credit (to uktechgirl) and comments are both lovely.
Incidentally, I also threw a few caps from Look to the Lady up here a little while ago, in case Petey being chased by a giant bunny might brighten your day.

I discovered earlier that I had somehow never actually joined this comm. Oops.
Anyway, am on a Campion kick: quick bit of book-reviewing, followed by 40ish caps from The Case of the Late Pig at my journal here. Hats, people! Petey in hats!

(I only hope, this is the right place for my post, since it doesn't contain any pictures, but is rather a piece of general Davison related discussion ...)
Living in Germany, I had never heard of the TV series until the moment I spotted a Campion DVD for a halfway affordable price on E-bay. During the short but spectacular battle that ensued, my fan girl instincts joined forces with inborn general curiosity and thus managed to win over reason. I bade, won the auction, paid and received a nice, small parcel not long afterwards.
The episodes on my DVD are 'Case of the Late Pig' and 'Death of a Ghost'. Of course, I've already watched them.
Campion seems to push quite a few of my buttons. I've always been a sucker for Agatha Christie-ish crime and mystery, the atmosphere and the flair of the late 1920s and early 1930s. Peter Davison's subtle, sometimes sincere, sometimes humorous acting style strikes me as fascinating and endearing as the rather introverted protagonist that he plays.
(Oh, and once we are at it, did I mention Davison's singing voice and the way he looks with glasses and in a tux... *g*)
I'd love to learn a bit more about the programme and the hero I'm watching. Unfortunately Google hasn't been much of a help so far, since all I found were links to some general cast and production infos. And if you type Margery Allingham's name into Amazon.co.uk's search engine, the number of books appearing on the screen is so huge that it's downright confusing.
So I'm wondering whether anybody out there could answer the following questions:
a) Is there any significant backstory to Albert Campion, something one should know about the character? I'm fully aware this is an odd question, but somehow Campion strikes me as a guy who would have some kind of backstory. Too many highly unusual but fascinating little bits and details...
b) Are there any Margery Allingham novels you would recommend to a new reader?
c) Are there any interesting online articles about the production of the show, for example Campion-related interviews with Peter Davison or other cast members, writers and directors?
