Our goal is to produce a fandom newletter that features the news and events the fandom is interested in, as well as links to fanfic, art and discussion. We will try our best to feature new authors and artists as often as possible.
In the past we've been marking spoilers for the movie, so those who haven't seen it aren't spoiled, however, as of January 1st, 2006, we have dropped the policy, since most people have now seen the movie. The section most affected by this is the fic section, and usually authors mark their fics with a header saying spoilers are included, but people should be aware they may accidentally come across post-movie fic without warning!
The best source of Firefly or Serenity news is by the Browncoats themselves, so tips and recs are always encouraged. Feel free to send us an email at fireflynews@gmail.com, or leave a comment to any of the daily posts.

the_cortex will be posted once daily, including Saturday and Sunday. We recently had a bit of an organisational spree and deleted all members except for the editors and back-up editors. This means that we're now a closed community - if you are interested in watching the_cortex, you can friend the community here, there's no need to try and join.

We're not currently looking for any more editors, as all of our daily slots are filled and we have some great backup editors to choose from. Having said that, we have a post here which details how to apply - if you're interested, drop us an email with that little form, and we'll keep you on file if we need anybody in the future!
