Alright, i don't like having to slam the userinfo full of rules, but i guess there's no way around it.
DA RULES
1. LJ-CUT. i assumed it was common LJ knowledge and just sort of LJ curtosy for users to cut large and/or lots of images, especially for the sake of our dial up friends, but you guys haven't been doing so.
so, from now on, everything that isn't text needs to be cut. it's just common curtosy for people with dial up or for people who have fickle friends pages. i say everything just for simplicity, so no one has to sit at their computer and debate whether or not their image is too big. i'm just trying to make it easier for everyone.
2. i haven't seen much (if any) of this but just for reference: don't promote communities unless they are directly related to The Clash. Otherwise by all means, promote all you want (example ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) shaniejones and stewies' ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) mickjones community).
3. please don't say "Hey, i'm new, ADD ME!" you can introduce yourself and go on and on about why you love The Clash or one of the members, just don't say "add me". because it BUGS THE MOD. and i rule here. not to be mean or anything, but it's also that i do know that there are other people that it bugs besides myself.
4. BE NICE. MAKE FRIENDS. HAVE NICE CONVERSATIONS. NUFF SAID.
5. On off-topic posts: They are allowed, especially if they are related in some way to politics or things that just concern us all living in this world. The Clash and Joe were all very politically oriented and this community should be as well. Have someone you think should be elected President and got a few reasons why? PLEASE, tell us! Got some bands you're into that you think some of us might like? Again, tell us! Even debate it, you guys! JUST BE NICE ABOUT IT. Don't fling shit, don't call names and just don't be bastards about it.
Other than that, off topic posts are allowed just as long as they're sort of few and far between.
6. Again, BE NICE. especially with the last rule. if i see ANYONE being rude, mean or just a plain old fuck, i'm gonna ban you. no warnings, no slap on the wrist. if you're a rude, mean or you're making it hard to for people to interact with you or around you, you're out.
Again, i don't like having to have this thing full of rules, but now that we've got almost 200 members, we aren't a little family anymore. we're a big family! and i guess there need to be some sort of guidlines so that everyone is happy and i'm not pulling my hair out. though i have to say, out of the communities i run and the ones i'm in, you guys are EXTREMELY well behaved and just plain good. i haven't had to deal with anything like LOTR community mods have. maybe that's cause we don't have rabid fangirls. but i any event, nice going.
