Welcome to

the__jungle. This is a rating community, so if you can't take the chance of being rejected, don't apply. We're different than most rating communities. We are original and unique. There are only eighty spots in the jungle. Therefore, it will be hard to get in. When you apply, you must choose which animal you will be in the jungle. When we reach eighty members, the applicant will choose the animal (member) of their choice and try to get their spot. If the applicant is accepted, you have lost your spot in the jungle. This means you must reapply. An applicant cannot choose an animal (member) to challenge unless there is eighty members in the community.

For Applicants
1. You must be 14+ to apply.
2. Boys and girls may join.
3. Do not start any fights or drama. If you do, you will be banned.
4. If you delete your application, you will be banned.
5. You may not vote or post until you are accepted by one of the mods.
6. Use a lj cut when posting your application. If you don't know how to do this, ask someone for help.
7. Put 'Do you think I can survive The Jungle?' in the subject.
8. So we know you read the rules, use any mood starting with the letter "C".
9. If you get rejected, you may reapply. If you get rejected twice, take a hint. You may not apply more than three times.
10. You may only comment in your own application until you are accepted.
11. The application must be filled out within 48 hours of joining.
12. Use spell-check before posting your application. Horrible grammar may cause members to vote "no".
13. If you don't plan on being active, don't bother joining.
14. Write the animal you wish to be in the lj cut.
15. Just copy & paste the application. Don't screw it up, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
16. If you have been auto-rejected, you may reapply 2 weeks later with new pictures. You may only reapply once more after getting an auto-reject.

For Members
1. Make all posts 'friends only!'
2. When voting, put "YES" or "NO" in the subject line. Please also give a reason why you're giving the applicant a yes or a no.
3. DO NOT SPAM!! This means no promoting in anything other than a community that allows it or your user info.
4. You may promote in here, but not excessively. If you do it excessively, you will either lose points or be banned, depending on how much you promoted. If you are promoting, make sure it's under an lj cut. You may only promote once a week. It would be nice if you cross-promoted us.
5. All pictures, themes, hunts, contests, promotions, and long posts must be under an lj cut.
6. Stay active!!
7. If you're going to be inactive for a long period of time, please let us know.
8. If you do not earn at least 50 points by the end of the month, you must reapply.
9. If you are leaving the community, please tell us!!
10. Write "Stamped" and your animal name (i.e. giraffe) in the subject line when posting.
11. Participate!!
12. When posting pictures, please number them, it's easier for the mods so we can give you the right amount of points.
13. Add us to your friends list so you can keep track of everything.
14. Make sure you keep your member picture hosted. If you don't want to have it on your photobucket, then just host it with tinypic.

Bored? Don't like someone in The Jungle? Want to be their animal instead of the one you are currently? Challenge them!! There are two types of challenges:
ELIMINATION CHALLENGE: Post 10 pictures of yourself and wait for the person you're challenging to comment with 10 pictures. Then everyone may start voting. Voting MAY NOT begin until that person has commented with their pictures. If they haven't posted their pictures within 48 hours, whoever challenged them will automatically win. The winner gets 100 bananas. The loser will have to re-apply and promote to 2 more places (DO NOT SPAM) than asked in the application.
BANANA CHALLENGE: Is a challenge where no one will be eliminated from The Jungle. It is just simply to gain bananas. It's the same as the normal challenge, with 10 pictures. However, the loser will have to promote to 5 places (WITHOUT SPAMMING!!! Promote in userinfo, make a post in your journal, or promote in a community that allows promotions). Failure to promote within a 48 time period will result in having to re-apply.
When challenging someone, please make sure you put the type of challenge you're doing and the person you're challenging in the lj-cut. Both of these challenges are worth 100 bananas. Mods CAN be chosen for a challenge. This is worth 25 more bananas than a regular challenge. If you win against a mod, obviously the mod will not be out of the community. Instead, you will get 125 bananas and 50 bananas will be reducted from the mod's bananas and given to you, which result in you getting a total of 175 bananas. If the mod does not have enough bananas, you may not challenge them.
