Holy crap on a cracker! D: I've been gone for a while, haven't I?

As most of you know, I went through a bad break up... My house being ransacked by my step-dad... My ex trying to win me back... Then going on vacation to try and get better....

So ya, I'm back now and am hoping to get my rear back in gear! I am still busy with work, but I'm around enough that I should be able to get stuff going. I miss you all horribly! <3 So how about getting me caught up and stuff? ;D I'm free to whoever wants to poke me. :D

And so, I'm here to do as promised and get up the big, roll call/ideas post and start the ball rolling hopefully towards opening this place once again with everyone knowing more what they're supposed to be doing ^^

Okay so I talked to Kitsu BRIEFLY and she said it was okay to post this, so pretty much ALL the ideas here are just MINE and haven't been shared with ANYONE yet, so really it's all up for opinion and ridicule *is hit* Nothing is set in stone and to be honest? Posting this before having Kitsu or Katya read it makes me INCREDIBLY nervous BUT! This place means a lot to everyone involved in it, I know that and since I'm the one with the time right now, I'm not going to sit back and let it die. So even if everything I say here gets vetoed? I don't care so long as it reminds everyone we ARE still here and we're not going anywhere! ^^

Roll call

Please, please, PLEASE leave a comment if only to register your interest! I'm sending out a group email to EVERYONE who was still in at the last roll call and actually, the one before too - just too be sure. I'll be taking part in NaNoWriMo again this year so you'll have a WHOLE MONTH to get your minds made up and your comments up and then, I'm afraid I'm drawing a line and those of you who haven't raised a hand here will have their character freed up for someone else to use. You'll be able to re-apply sure, but if you don't want to go through all that trouble, don't forget to comment!

Changes

As stated in the last big post, there were some changes that had been outlined and mostly they had been well received so here's a re-cap;
NO PERSONAL PROBLEMS WITH PLAYERS MAY HAVE WITH OTHER PLAYERS TO AFFECT THE RP which might sound a little extreme, but there were problems with this in the past and if we're going to be 'starting a fresh' I figure it might be a good idea to get this up someplace right from the start.
INTRODUCE YOURSELF posts once you've been accepted, just as a way of being there where everyone can see you and to give you a chance to put some of your ideas down and contact the other players you'd be interested in rping with ^^
MISSING IN ACTION posts will have to be tagged or they won't be counted and instead of a post at the start of the weekend telling people who needs to update, a simple reminder will go up and you'll have the weekend to get up a post or receive a strike, hopefully this will help reduce the work-load of the strike mods ^^

Start date

I was thinking New years and I was going to suggest a party to mark the occasion XD NaNoWriMo starts soon and some of the players here have told me they'll be taking part so November will be tied up, December is full of Christmas and so January first seemed like a good idea for a start date. As for the party, I'm open to suggestions there ^^ I personally was thinking maybe something like the crazy anniversary parties we've had in the past with players and characters all thrown in together, which would last for about a week and precede the re-launch of everything DV, so to speak, but like I said, if you have an idea yourself? I'd love to hear it!

Ideas

YES! GO! GIVE ME IDEAS! >_> Personally, I have none at this time; I'm hoping to spend the next two months sorting out the free characters, maybe doing some promo when I know that and hopefully discussing some all-cast inclusive plots with Kitsu and Katya as well so really, I guess they'll be more news on all of that when I post next ^^

OKAY SO! Well, I'm guessing you noticed I'm not around much here, or anywhere else online really... The only place I've been keeping up with even a little is my personal LJ and that's hardly been all rainbows and sunshine lately~

We don't want to get into that here though, it's not nice (birthday's aside, that was pretty good ^^) and you don't wanna hear my whining but I do want to just say that I'm sorry for letting you all down here and if everyone is still around and wanting to get back to it, please leave me a comment here and just as soon as the last few things get sorted out here, I'll be back to do everything I can to make it so, deal? ^^

One last thing; Nano! XD So yeah, I probably won't be about much in November personal issues or not, the crazy writing of 50,000 words will be taking up most of my time but hey! I'll still try and be around more than I have been ^^

I'll be getting Catherine back into the story this week, definitely once my argumentative paper's first draft for Advanced English and my MA11 long test are over and done! Catherine's been in college for the past month and she's been enjoying it like crazy. Her first entry will be about Takeru's visit to France and an overview of her past few weeks in school!

So, anyway, if you want your characters to spend time with Catherine, or to have closed posts with Catherine, just comment away! :) If you want to plot, too, for the future.. you can comment too. Trish, if you have ideas, especially.. I don't like seeing poor Wallace sad. :(

Hello my friends! It´s taken so long, but finally!! Finally on Tuesday next week our internet should get reconnected. I have no idea if it´ll be high speed, and with my laptop is quickly giving up on life (It crashes every 15 to 20 minutes if I turn it on, and it has trouble handling more than one program at a time) I have many fears that my joy will turn to pain within a week or three, but hey, it´s better than nothing. (I´m saving up for an Apple I swear, it´s just taking so damned long when you can only save 10euros per month TT_TT )

Oh yeah, I'm working on getting back to school, but my life never runs smoothly like how it's supposed to, so even though the schools have restarted, I'm not in it.. I have to do some stupid test or other on the computers but the system's down and out... I was told I'd probably be able to join school next week, but I'm not expecting miracles here so who knows. I hope everyone's doing better than me in that department.

Alright people! Had this been an OFFICIAL hiatus (which it WAS NOT!) it would be over by now. School is back in session, people, on all fronts, so lets get things moving again ^^ I'm posting a few changes that will be coming into effect this time around below and yes, they HAVE been agreed upon by ALL OF THE MODS; We work TOGETHER, whether we always agree or not, it's just me posting because Katya and Kitsu have lives and I have Swine Flu XD;

CHANGES

Oh yes! There will be changes ahead, my children XD The main one being new rules designed to help players interact and get along better. Basically, NO PERSONAL PROBLEMS WITH PLAYERS MAY HAVE WITH OTHER PLAYERS TO AFFECT THE RP. This sounds a little extreme maybe, but there have been a few complaints about a few players and the way is has been affecting their characters so it's obviously an issue that's making people unhappy and so needs to be addressed. I was also going to suggest an INTRODUCE YOURSELF post once you've been accepted, just as a way of being there where everyone can see you and to give you a chance to put some of your ideas down and contact the other players you'd be interested in rping with ^^

As of the end of September, let's say the weekend starting Monday 28th, all strikes will be forgotten. There are a few people who, due to either their behavior, their lack of activity or complaints from other players whole will be graded either way but this will take place behind closed doors - our role here isn't to put people up to be ridiculed but to make things run more smoothly for the community as a whole, so please, don't worry too much about that ^^ Also, there will be NO GRACE PEROID. A reminder will be posted on Friday and you have until Sunday to update or you get a strike - end of story. It seems to me that for the mods to go through striking people JUST to have them update the next day and have the action cancelled is a lot of work for nothing, hopefully this will work better while still giving the more forgetful players the 'second chance' ^^ This will start Friday 2nd October!

Also, how do out admin feel about handling strikes, still? There haven't been any posted for a while, but with inactivity being the way it is, i understand - I just wanted to say here that if it's too much or you can't do it anymore, say so and I'll take over ^^ I can totally understand if you guys are both busy where-as I have no life away from my computer - win-win.

I'm alive, really, very much so, I just don't have internet a. The only time I have internet is the rare few times I'm awake early enough to go with my mother to my uncle's, like today. And when I do I have almost never more than an hour to check through my hundreds of messages on hotmail, deviantart, here, and many other websites as well as wanting to download Lightwave 3D and Micro office, all of which I haven't done yet and I've already sat here for half an hour reading everyone's messages (Or as many as the front page allows for the time being).
