About Thank Hanson is a community that is working on a book that will be given to Hanson the day that the song "MmmBop" was released 10 years ago. This book will consist of stories, poems, and artwork that fans have submitted here about how Isaac, Taylor, & Zac Hanson have changed and/or inspired them over the past 10 years. This book will be up for sale online & all profits from this book will be going to the Save The Music Foundation.
Please sit tight, there are a LOT of rules for this community... they are for YOUR benefit so pay attention. You will follow them if you want your material in the book.
+ All submitted stories, poems, or artwork MUST be submitted as a comment-- NOT AS A POST.
+ All submissions will be screened, so you do not have to be worried about others' viewing your work and/or stealing it.
+ These stories are NOT to be fan-fic. NO FAN-FIC! NONE.
+ These stories are supposed to be along the lines of “Chicken Soup For The Soul” stories. Not 'I wanted Taylor to marry me...'. The purpose of this book is to let Hanson know that we LOVE their music and that we support their music. This has NOTHING to do with whom they marry or date. (If you have a story about how seeing Taylor as a father inspired you to be a better parent, that is a different, however lets try to stick to music here people.)
+ You do NOT have to be the best writer to have your story selected for publishing. We simply ask that YOU have all the proof reading done ahead of time, these stories will be read for content and nothing else. WE WILL NOT FIX GRAMMER OR SPELLING ERRORS!
-For those with English as a second language, arrangements can be made to edit your work if you wish. Simply state in your comment or email us that you would like for your story to be edited. THIS DOES NOT GO FOR EVERYONE SIMPLY TOO LAZY TO EDIT THEIR OWN WORK!
+ We will be MORE selective with artwork submitted. The book will be printed in black and white, except for the cover, so if the artwork is in color it will be changed to black and white for printing. It may also be resized before being placed in the book layout. NO NUDITY!
- All artwork can be submitted via tinypic.com or photobucket.com. HOWEVER, if we choose your artwork we will e-mail you to get a higher quality file. PLEASE BE SURE TO PROVIDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS WITH OUR SUBMISSION!
+ As of now (1.9.06) there is NOT a page limit. Anything submitted that is deemed ALL AGE APPROPRIATE will be placed in the word document to be submitted for publishing at the end of this year.
+ Please submit your NAME, AGE, LOCATION (City and state is fine), & E-MAIL address along with your submission. (All but your e-mail will be place in transcript of the book.)
Authors, artists and fans will receive NO financial compensation for work submitted. I will NOT OWN the work submitted, it still belongs to you. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WORKS SUBMITTED WILL BE PUBLISHED.
+If you submit a story and then later decide that you would rather NOT have that story in the book or would like it replaced with a different story PLEASE e-mail us at ThankHanson@gmail.com.
PLEASE, ONLY ONE SUBMISSION PER PERSON! I have a feeling this book will be long enough as it is without double or triple stories from one person.
