Description:A community for finding betas for Transformers fanfiction.
About
Welcome to Transformers Betas. This community is here to provide authors of Transformers fanfiction with help on any aspect of the writing process, be that needing someone to bounce plot ideas off of or someone to grammar-pick a nearly completed story.

First things first:

Transformers fanfiction only, please.

Play nice.

Adult content is allowed. Please friends-lock posts containing explicit material. Info on how to do that here.

Any content rated R or over should be put under an LJ cut. Information on how to use those can be found here.

When posting in-progress stories to the comm:

Stories in almost any stage of completion are allowed, but there should be enough there that we can see you've starting at least thinking about what you'd like to do in your fic. Acceptable: “I want to write a story about Prowl where A, B and D happens, but I'm not sure what to do for C. Ideas?” Not acceptable: “I want to write a story about Prowl, but I'm not sure what I want to happen in it!” (If this is you, try paying a visit to the [info]tf_bunny_farm.)

Warn for any sensitive topics or adult material.

Stories that are longer than 200 words should be put under an LJ cut.

Tell us what area you'd most like help with! Grammar? Characterization? That one sentence five paragraphs down that just doesn't seem to flow right?

Authors may friends-lock their posts if they wish in order to limit the number casual passers-by who might see the fic before it is done.

You may post anything from a single paragraph to entire chapters at a time. Try to limit yourself to one or two posts per day.

When commenting:

Anyone can comment on a story. Those commenting are highly encouraged, but not required, to point out both what they liked about the story and what they think needs work.

Expression of disagreement between authors and people commenting or between one commenter and the next is acceptable and encouraged. Keep it polite. Personal insults and the like are not allowed. There will probably be times when you'll simply have to agree to disagree.

If you're looking for a beta but don't want to post your actual fic here:

Post a summary of your story to the community. Include contact info, an approximate rating for the story, and any warnings necessary. Anyone willing to beta your fic can leave a comment or send you an email. It is also generally a good idea to mention what you're looking for in a beta and how quickly you'd like your fic to be returned.

For betas:

Anyone watching the community can offer to beta; you do not have to apply.

You can leave an introductory post and wait for someone to contact you, or skip that and simply wait for a request that looks interesting to come along.
