SUMMARY: Their goal was always to defeat the Wraith - or, at least, to find a way by which Pegasus could live without the shadow of the Wraith over them. But there could be no great success without an equally great price.
CATEGORY: action-adventure, drama, John-whump, with a John/Teyla romance, and some Teyla/Kanaan for good measure!

SPOILERS: Much of it occurs after Enemy At The Gates, and you will have to know what happened in Prodigal, but no major spoilers.

Guinevere at Amesbury It's been a long six months struggling with the characters, the story, and assorted other beasties that insisted on getting in the way of the final product. But it's finally done! This comes out with grateful thanks to those readers on my f-list who put up with this story growing longer...and longer...and longer with every chapter that I posted. I honestly believed it would be done in two chapters and then the story went organic and sprouted all over the place! But it was a good experience since it's been a while since I finished a serial.

| SGA Big Bang? Anyone? |

Any Teyla fans considering doing the SGA Big Bang?
They're signing up this week!
May 22nd: Writer/Artist sign-ups open.
May 29th: Writer/Artist sign-ups close.
August 14th: 15,000 word check-in.
September 29th: COMPLETED story drafts are due.
October 1st: Stories go to artists.
October 14th: Final copy of stories submitted to the story database. No exceptions will be made.
November 2nd: Art, vids, etc., due.
November 12th (or 13th): Site goes live.
This is the last year they'll be doing this, and so they hope to go out with a bang. So please, if you've ever considered doing this, please sign up and participate?
And yes, I am participating. Hopefully with the sequel to last year's story: The Astonishing Persistence Of Memory: Past Tense.
There was only one Teyla genfic in the Big Bang last year, siriaeve's The Language Of Hard Nouns, although there was my Astonishing Persistence Of Memory in the Teyla pairing division, and several other stories featured Teyla in a secondary pairing or as a major character.
I'd love to see fans of Teyla sign up to write Teyla-centric and Teyla-pairing stories this year!

| Gifted Up For Adoption |

I run a Rachel Luttrell/Teyla Emmagan fansite called Gifted. As you can see, it's been a very long while since it's been updated, and I don't foresee my interest being renewed any time soon. Hence, I've decided to offer it up for adoption.
However, I'm not going to give the site to just anyone. Interested parties will need web hosting of their own (no free-hosts or hosts that have a jillion ads) and will have quality web design skills.
If you already have a quality Rachel/Teyla/SGA related site, I'd be willing to let you just take the content from Gifted and incorporate it into your pre-existing site, provided it meets the aforementioned criteria.

Half a Moon is a fourteen day challenge celebrating female characters in fandom. Fanfiction, vids, recs, art, picspam, icons, meta, fanmixes, and outside links to content fitting the theme of this community are all welcome--the only rule is that the primary focus must be on a female character or characters. Please see the intro post for more information.
We had a great time with this challenge last year--it's open to really just about any form of female-character appreciation you want to post--so I encourage you to bring the Teyla love there! |

Mood Theme: 132 unique animations from season 1-5 of Stargate Atlantis. This was my first ever mood theme made with the help of my thread mum jeyla4ever, another die hard Teyla fan. Its amazing how hard this was to make, espcially since I had 4 1/2 seasons(80+ episodes) at my disposal. It was made months(Aug '08) ago but never posted until now. Just about everyone makes an appearance in this theme as it couldn't be avoided.

Finally! An update!
Whoever the site maintainer is, they need to get with the program. Apparently Rachel posted something on the 17th October, but I've only just seen it (and believe me, I've been checking the site). She's also posted a Christmas message for her fans.
Apparently she just finished work on a film with Cuba Gooding Jr.
For me, it's good to find her upbeat and with work - particularly in light of the last few episodes of the show. |
