| Purikura? |
[09 Jul 2009|10:52pm] |
Helllo ladies~
I know that there is Purikura *somewhere* in Dallas, but could anyone tell me where? A couple friends and I are driving up from Houston and I thought it would be a fun way to commemorate the trip!
And does anyone know if there is a Purikura place in Houston? I don't think there is but maybe, just maybe, there is one.
Thank you~

Hi! Just wanted to know if there are any lolitas who attend the University of Texas at Austin. Really I'm just curious because I haven't seen any, but Austin is such a diverse city...there must be at least one! ^_^

| El Paso Anime Convention Meet-Up Info 07/11/09 |
[06 Jul 2009|11:12pm] |
Here is the info for the EPAC meet-up:
Date: Saturday, July 11th Time: 12 PM Meet-up will be held at: Yamato Japanese Restaurant Address: 2500 N Mesa St # E Quick directions: From I-10 (west), exit Schuster Ave (Exit 18A) and turn left. Turn left onto Sun Bowl Road. Turn right onto West University Ave, continue down West University towards Mesa, make a LEFT on Mesa. They're the same directions to get to the con from the website: http://www.elpasoanimecon.org/index.php?id=12, all you have to do is continue down W University until you hit Mesa and make a left. It should be on the RIGHT SIDE. Directions from Yahoo Maps: http://maps.yahoo.com/#mvt=m&lat=31.77376&lon=-106.50101&zoom=18&q1=W%20University%20Ave%2C%20El%20Paso%2C%20TX%2079902%2C%20United%20States&q2=2500%20N%20Mesa%20St%20El%20Paso%2C%20TX
I think it's in the "Miner Village Two" area, but to be certain: There is a Papa John's, a Cricket and a Capital Bank in that same little plaza :)
My friend and I will wait for people by Registration, in front of the Multi-Purpose room from about 11:30 to 11:45 (the reservation was strict, so her and I HAVE to be there by 12 otherwise we lose our table) to give directions if need be or if it's easier for you to follow us, that'll work too. It's a long walk, so I recommend taking a vehicle (I know, that sucks, but most of the decent restaurants are far from the campus, and the temperature is going to be at about 100 degrees so a 3 minute car ride is GOOD, don't want anyone fainting). So you can follow us or meet us there - if you decide to go straight to the restaurant, the reservation is under "Georgina."
The restaurant is very decently priced and offers a variety of Japanese and "Japanese" food. Sushi ranges from around $5 (6-8 rolls) to $8 depending on what you order. Sashimi starts at about $8. Of course, if you feel like saving a little more money, you can always share 3-4 roll types with 3 friends :)
BRING: Yourselves! Your friends, and anything you'd like to share! DO: HYDRATE!!! Temperatures will run between 100-102 degrees! DRINK LOTS OF WATER! TRY TO STAY OUT OF THE SUN! BRING AN UMBRELLA/PARASOL!
MODELS PARTICIPATING IN THE PANEL: We need to be at the panel at 3 PM! The preliminary schedule says it'll be on the 1st floor in the Union Cinema - http://www.elpasoanimecon.org/assets/files/docs/epac09_schedule_saturday.pdf PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE SCHEDULE ON SATURDAY FOR ANY CHANGES! :)
If you have any questions, comments or concerns: Comment here, or e-mail me at Sakogoo@aol.com If you prefer to have my phone number in case you get lost/have an emergency, you can e-mail or PM me for it (I don't feel safe posting it publicly :P)

I'm Pika (Heather, irl) and I am very new to the Lolita lifestyle. I have always admired the beautiful lovelies in their frills and smiles. With a little support from my best friends, we are in the process of creating our first JSKs! I sew, with the help of steam-a-seam, knit, and craft. I really like to make things. I have so many Loli-ideas in my head waiting to come out, but I have to wait until Miss Robyn to get paid on Thursday before I get to go to Joann and Hancock for fabric shopping.
You can ready my Loli-blog at pika_loli and my crafty/everything else blog at Heather Knits. I also have my own domain, where you can find almost all of my web-presence @ www.BigPikaChica.com.
Any ideas where I can find an acceptable, affordable petticoat... or would it be beter to just make my own?
I cannot wait to meet my new friends over a cup of tea! Hurst is closest to Fort Worth or Arlington, but I am also in Tyler and Dallas occasionally.
HUGS!

[14 Jun 2009|06:23pm] |
i've posted to the egl_commsales, but i also want to see if i can find something locally! i was recently given an ebay card for $50, and i don't trust the stuff on ebay. :/ if you girls have JSK's or OP's that are brand, offbrand, or handmade, i'd love to see what you have! i'm willing to pay more than $50. but here's the catch, if i decide to purchase your item, i would need you to put the item on ebay so i can use this card! i understand that i'm asking a lot, so thank you so much girls in advance! <3Chelsea

| LF a local seamstress! |
[10 Jun 2009|05:23pm] |
So I though I'd try here before heading off to the comm because double shipping charges is a bitch. >_<
I am looking for a north Dallas local with professional (or nearly professional) seamstress skills of awsomeness, preferable one with a serger. I have two garments that I need altered, one is of cutsew material (hince the serger, I don't trust my own ability to zigzag stitch properly) and the other is an Angelic Pretty jsk that I can't quite fit my fatty-chan self into (despite assistance from a friend and a REALLY tight corset).
( pictures and plans for the garments at hand )
Please leave a post here or pm me if you are intrested in helping so we can discuss costs. I'd like to avoid shipping if at all possibile. Thanks a ton <3

Please Use Google Maps sinc eI have provided the Address. I wanted to do another tutorial, but I guess we'll have to save it for next time. <3 I apologize for this being so last minute. We will likely also be going out for a walk at the playgroud(safe, I promise) and the gazebo, possibly playing loli-esque games, and certainly chatting the night away. If anyone is open to it, the next day, I am also willing to continue the loli celebration through Sunday. Thank you! <3
