I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the "Takumi-kun Series: Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite" open rehearsal on Friday the 13th. In other words, I got to watch Isogai Ryuuko (Shiten-A Chitose), Watanabe Kouji (3rd Cast Taka-san), and Uenobori Makoto (Shiten-B Hitouji) behind the scenes for an hour-plus as they rehearsed for their BL-themed play that will run next month. It was a really awesome opportunity, and I hope that other musicals, particularly fan-targeted ones like this (if they haven't already -- I really don't know, although the material on the website for this one suggested it was pretty unique), pick up on the trend.

I've written up my observations and impressions in the fake-cut below, for anyone who might want to know what it was all about. (Warning: rambling, digressions, linked blogphotos, and frequent, frank discussion of cast member, ummm, assets. Hey, I've gotta be true to what was there!)

Do they even make live-action BL that doesn't involve tenimyu alums?

I've been a tenimyu fan since the first Fudoumine run -- new , but for the past year, it's definitely the Shitenmyu cast that has eaten my brain.  To my delight, on Sunday (11/1), I was able to go to my first talk event with my three favorites: the Green Force (グリーン軍), otherwise known as Kitadai Takashi (the newest Tachibana, aka "Banchou"), Isogai Ryuuko (A-Chitose, aka… well, I mostly just call him "Ryuuko"), and Ooyama Masashi (B-Chitose, aka "Ma-kun," "Masashi," "Maatos" [a personal nickname, short for Maatose... yaknow, there are just too many Ma-kuns out there], or "Pei").  Somehow, these three have become my main squees in the tenimyu world, so I feel really lucky that I got to see them live!  

And, of course, I am going to share my good fortune in my own way: via an overly long, intermittently hyperlinked, and extremely subjective and personal recap!  I've also included a group picture, and will try to work on getting other goods from the event scanned and shared in the future!  If you're interested, please check it out in the fake!cut below.  :)

This is my way of saying, again, "Oh Daisuke, I mock you only because I love you". And because I couldn't stick with my promise to make November 6th a free-for-all-Mock-The-Birthday-Boy-Relentlessy Day on account of work, it'll have to be today.
