Hey you! Yes you, welcome to Tenipuri AU, where the possibilities are as endless as the worlds (and sometimes, maybe, the characters that) you make up in your head. Please feel free to join the community at any point in time and more so, feel free to share whatever it is you have on-hand, be it fic, art, ideas up for discussion or otherwise. But before you do, please read through the rules/faq below so that you know what exactly you're getting into. ^^

What exactly is tenipuri_au?
While there are numerous fan communities all over LJ that cater to PoT fans all over (some of you may be familiar with

potfics, which caters to PoT fiction in general, or

court_ladies which is a comm dedicated especially to the female characters of the fandom), looking LJ over, there was hardly a comm that openly welcomed the idea of original characters dropped into the PoT world, be it the manga, the anime or the game.

This comm was conceptualized to cater specifically to that.

However, given the consideration that there is an overall scarcity of OCs/OFCs (though they do exist, they're just given less love somehow), the comm extends it's reach as well to any sort of AU imaginable (which, we expect, will turn out to be a lot) for PoT.

Why tenipuri_au?
Other than that it's a pretty easy name to remember? Well, considering that anything non-canon (read: fanfiction in general) can be considered as AU, it seemed to suit. But it seemed like a good idea at the time, so we'll stick to the first reason.

What sort of submissions do you accept?
ANYTHING. We are serious. ANYTHING. Feel free to share whatever strikes your fancy. Slash, femslash, gen, het, whatever -- you have it, feel free to share it. There is a respective posting format for fics, drabbles & one-shots/stand-alones follow:

For multi-chapter stories, there are slight modifications:

**IMPORTANT** Every post to the comm is equivalent to one story (drabble, one-shot) or chapter (if multi-chapter). Also, all posts must be hidden behind an LJ-cut for common LJ courtesy's sake, feel free to snick the code above. All NC-17/R work must be friendslocked; no exceptions.

Of course, feel free to read, comment, squee, request(? Hey, you never know), critique constructively and so on and so forth. I think we can all agree that everyone who joins this comm will have a love for PoT. It doesn't really take much for people to be nice/courteous, and those of us modding this community hope that everyone will eventually feel comfortable enough to make this their own personal playground.

What is the "Masterlist"? I saw a post on this, but it's got nothing in it at the moment.
Assuming that people will actually join up and post in this community, it seemed like a very good idea to come up with a page that would eventually serve as an archive for any and all posts put up on the comm. (1) It would help finding certain fic easier for everyone else, (2) it would also help each and everyone keep track of how much has been posted on the comm.

In a nutshell, the Masterlist is a reference page -- not only to links for fic, but to the writers/authors themselves who put so much work (thought, blood, sweat and tears) into whatever fic they share.

It will make use of LJ's tags option, allowing each contributor to have a tag specifically for themselves (example: fic by: yourljhere). This is so that if anyone wants to locate fic by a specific author, they'll be just a click away.

Eventually though, the idea is that once an author meets a certain number of stories/posts, the link on The Masterlist will be changed from the tags to an actual "Author Page", so to speak. The requirements for "acquiring" this page are as follow:

Drabbles: 15 total.
Multi-chap: 3 different stories, with a minimum of 5 chapters. [negotiable]
Mixed: 8 drabbles, total equivalent of 5 chapters, multi-chap. [negotiable]

We'd also like everyone to know that while this is an "experimental" thing, that it will get done. Personally, I've seen it become an actuality over at MDTAS. It's not completely the same, but I figure it's close enough and feasable enough given enthusiastic writers who will want in on this.
