| Secret messages in Dear Prince |

Hey everyone! Did anyone notice the secret messages in Dear Prince ~Tennis no Ouji sama tachi he~? I didn't realize myself until my Japanese friend pointed it out to me.
My friend pointed out the message "Arigato, Tenipuri" and now I've just noticed "arigato, kimi."
As you may know, Konomi sensei wrote the lyrics for this song. I've romanized them here if you need them. Anyway, the messages use the first syllable of certain verses to make words.
Starting with the first one:
Dear Prince ai ni yuku yo Dear Prince riyuu wa iranai
Dear Prince ganbatteru Dear Prince tokoro ga daisuki sa
Kimi ga kateru made mitete ageru kara
This reads "arigato, kimi," which means "thank you, you [the fans]."
Then the two choruses both read "arigato, Tenipuri (Thank you, Tenipuri)."
Get ready ai ni yuku yo Get ready riyuu wa iranai
Get ready ganbatteru Get ready tokoro ga daisuki sa
Ready, go! te wo tsunagou Ready, go! nigegoshi na kimi he no
Ready, go! PUREZENTO dakara Ready, go! rippa ni yareru sa

Get ready asu no tame ni Get ready RISUKU wa shouchi sa
Get ready gaman dekiru kana Get ready totemo tsurai keredo
Ready, go! TENISU BO-RU Ready, go! nigirishimeta
Ready, go! PURESSHA- no naka Ready, go! RIMITTO wo koeyou
I thought it was really cool how Konomi sensei put these messages into the lyrics. You can really tell how much love he has for this series. And I love love love LOVE this song! I can't wait to see it sung at the 100 Song Marathon when the DVD comes out. |

The 100 Marathon version is ... so different, and so much more, given all 33 seiyuu + Konomi were singing it (though it did start out with just Suwabe, Minagawa and Okiayu singing).
