Community Info

This journal is viewable to the public and anyone who is registered on LJ can comment. Please read these guidelines:

1. I encourage conversation but please stay on topic. Talk about the outfit at hand and what you think about it. You can love it or hate it, agree or disagree with what others think, but try to stay fair. Keep things like what you think of their acting or their attitude out of your opinion.

2. Keep your comments between a G and PG13 level. Profanity is fine, in moderation. Graphic, gore and/or personal attack comments or icons will not be tolerated. Comments deemed unacceptable will be deleted and users will be warned or banned.

3. Don't advertise your site/journal/community/anything. Anyone doing so will be banned. If you feel your website/community is relevant to Ten Page Essay, contact me personally and I will check it out. I don't really do affiliates here but if your website is cool, I'll plug you.

4. Don't harass anyone here. If you are having a fight with someone, "take it outside". Fight through email or on your own journals but don't ruin everyone else's enjoyment with your cat fight. Comments of the sort will be deleted and the people who made them may be banned.

5. I will only comment on public events (like premieres and award shows) and paparazzi shots (not personal photos). Rarely, if ever, will I post reviews for photo shoots or interview footage. Reasons why: For photo shoots, they are usually given clothes to wear and are told how to wear them. For interview footage, the images aren't typically clear and you can't see enough of the outfit to comment on them. Paparazzi image reviews for Emma were added in May 2008 and are posted only to talk about the outfits, not to talk about her personal life or rumors. These reviews aren't as harsh, as they do not necessarily plan on being photographed. Please don't tell me about a photo shoot or interview outfit from any of the above as if I didn't know about it. I don't plan on doing it.

6. Reviews for Emma will be up within a few days of the event, Katie's will be up when I find the time (usually two weeks max). If they aren't, I may be having computer and/or offline troubles or, rarely, I just don't know about the event. If, after a few weeks, you see that the review isn't up and I haven't made any comment about it, let me know. Please don't tell me right after the first set of pictures are posted online; chances are I'm downloading them at that very moment and you're just irritating me.

7. I try very hard to have OA's for each review, but I can't guarantee that they will always accompany each review. OA links may be broken and I'm sorry about that. That's why I post the images as well as the links, so that if the page goes down or gets erased you can still see what I picked. OAs are chosen to best match what was originally worn (in color, article type and/or detailing) but what I think is a better option. Prices are disregarded. If I absolutely hated the outfit, I might choose something completely different.
