Hello! Me again. Sorry I'm a bit late with the challenge for this week, but here it is. Just one, since our sister comm is still under challenge amnesty.

Challenge 1: New Leaf

Write for a series you have never written before. If you are using a pairing, write for your favorite pairing, even if it's unpopular.

50 minutes to explore the unknown...

30 September 2007 @ 12:00 pm
Wow, even for a community that has fallen quiet as of late, [info]temps_mort still has 500 members and 400 watchers. Hopefully, many of you are secretly waiting for a new challenge. I've got permission from [info]dramatic__ to bring you some new ones. It's time to get your drabble on! And some good practice for NaNoWriMo for those of you who will be participating in that event come November.

[info]contrelamontre Challenge 1: Incorporate ALL ofthe following words into your story: pumpkin, glasses, seven, lollipop.

This is actually from last week since [info]contrelamontre has granted challenge amnesty for October, but this one is still fresh and delicious.

You have 65 minutes to explain what went on.

Challenge 2: Otsukimi

September may be over, but the cool autumn nights are still perfect for watching the full moon. Have a full Otsukimi with rice cakes and kimono, arrange for someone to meet their sweetie on the roof with some sake or just sit back and watch the moon instead of sleeping.

You have 40 minutes to enjoy the moon.

That's it for now. Remember that you're welcome to comment here with new challenge ideas.

Now lets see some ficlets!

[info]contrelamontre challenge 1: teasing

A mysterious, anonymous person in the group would like to see some stories about teasing.

"to arouse hope, desire, or curiosity in without affording satisfaction"

You have 65 minutes.

Challenge 2: Peter Pan Syndrome

This week let's have Peter Pan Syndrome play a role in this week's fanfictions!

Peter Pan Syndrome is usually found in males and while it isn't an actual psychological disease, it has certain characteristics. Immaturity, irresponsibility, narcissism, and the need for a Mother figure are among those traits.

Of course, I just like the way Wikipedia describes it in this line: "The Peter-Pan psychological type is one characterized by immaturity or certain sorts of psychological, social, and sexual problems."

You have 110 minutes.

Title: Let's Not Pretend to Care [Part One]
Author: Emily [info]lightningrapier
Fandom: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Pairing: Phoenix/Miles
Rating: R
Warnings: Spoilers for the second game.
Summary: Phoenix finally gets a reply to one of the many letters he's sent Edgeworth -- in a way he didn't quite expect.
Disclaimer: Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth are property of each other Capcom and their creators, who have, in interviews, stated that there is most definitely "an attraction" between the two. Too bad it's not entirely in the way that Phoenix would like...
Notes: Written for [info]temps_mort prompt "honesty". The second part of this is written for the "dishonesty" prompt. Yep, I used both! Heavily inspired by the song "One Night Only" from Dreamgirls, because I'm awesome like that.

ALSO, this is for [info]nest's birthday because she dragged me into this fandom that I wanted so badly to be in and YAY IT'S HER BIRTHDAY AND ♥!!

( I have no doubt that I could love you forever -- the only trouble is, you really don't have the time. )

[info]contrelamontre challenge 1: dishonesty

[info]honeyandvinegar would like you to write about dishonesty.

"...lying, cheating-- or even committing a crime? Like it doesn't have to be bank robbery (lest it's wanted!) but it could be something as simple as cheating on a test in school, or STEALING SOMEONE'S STAPLER! :O!"

You have 45 minutes to lie, cheat, and/or steal.

And to balance it out...

Challenge 2: Honesty

This week, write something about the truth! Maybe an investigation goes underway between your favorite characters, or somene discovers the truth behind the lies!

You have 45 minutes.

PS: I am so happy with the recent increase of posts! ♥

Title: Perfect Melodies
Author: Emily [info]lightningrapier
Fandom: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Pairing: Phoenix/Miles
Rating: PGish
Warnings: Spoilers for the second game.
Summary: Phoenix finds a way to stop feeling so nervous. Miles uses his investigating powers to let himself into Phoenix's house.
Disclaimer: Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth are property of each other Capcom and their creators, who have, in interviews, stated that there is most definitely "an attraction" between the two. As if we needed confirmation.
Notes: Written for [info]temps_mort prompt "music".

( The defense seems to be in love with wishing more despair upon itself. )

Title: Three Simple Words
Author: Danielle Anderson
Pairing: Light/L
Rating: R
Disclaimer: The usual
Warning: fluff (wtf?)
It must be some divine retribution that passing judgement on wrong-doers was easier than telling someone three simple words )
Done for challenge #1: music

Title: Adreneline
Author: Sorchafyre
Series: Yu-Gi-Oh, AU
Pairing/Characters: Duke x Tristan x Joey
Type: m/m/m
Rating: R
Challenge: Music

Disclaimer: I do not own YuGiOh or its characters, however old they are, it is the property of Kazuki Takahashi, Shonen Jump and most likely several other corporations and entities who are not me, and likely make money from it, most emphatically UNlike me.

Notes: Bardicsidhe has this fic in progress, wherein Duke must teach Tristan and Joey how to dance, in time for Mai's party. Then there was "Sway" by the Pussycat Dolls and "Cry me a River" by Justin Timberlake and... then there was this fic.

[info]contrelamontre challenge 1: music

Your challenge this week(?) is music. The music must either be incorporated into your story or in some way serves as an inspiration, but don't write actual song fics. You don't have to use a particular song. For example, your characters could have music playing in the background of the main action.
However, if you are inspired by/use a song feel free to post the lyrics (or a link) at the end of the fic.

You have 1 hour.

Challenge 2: Smiles

This week's goal is to write a story where a smile plays an important part in the fanfiction. The smile can lead to something good, something bad, or just about anything that suits your imagination! (Or plot bunnies!)

You have 75 minutes.

Title: Equivalent Exchange
Author: [info]guardianmars (Posting from writing journal.)
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: ...it ended up genfic.
Characters: Roy Mustang, Alphonse Elric
Rating: PG
Spoilers: Spoilers for the end of FMA
Word Count: 585
Disclaimer: FMA isn't mine.
Permission to Archive: [info]temps_mort, all others ask first.
Time taken: 20 minutes and I just couldn't do any more. Maybe I'll try some more another time. Sorry....
Challenge: "Lie to Children"
Notes: This is the first prompt I've done in awhile. It's a meager attempt to start writing again. It kind of fails and ended up being crappy gen-fic. This is slightly AU in that it takes place after the end of FMA and ignores the FMA movie altogether. It also looks at a few changes in the end of the series, so some slight liberties have been taken. Oops.

Equivalent Exchange

[I guess I should include here that since the original posting, I've been working with a beta to add things and intend to do more with this eventually, so the contents in the link may change some over time, and become a far different piece when it's actually finished.]
