Welcome to the community for the lurve of the Casey Novak. It is our conclusion that, despite the (playful!) snark regarding her odd attire and random (but cute) expressions of cluelessness, there is a strong yet fierce Casey following forming among SVU watchers. Therefore, we decided to create a community for the sake of the Casey lurve. This is the place for all you closeted, recently de-closeted, or plain ol' FREE Casey lovers. Tried to hate her but couldn't? The beatdown and hospital tears melt your heart? Think teh cane is the hawt? Secretly wish you could try on her season 5 beret? Dude! US TOO!
Here, it's okay to love teh Casey! You don't need to lace your sentences with poignant sarcasm and repeated use of the words "lurch" and "lime green wool jacket of death". You can squeal. You can aww. You can cuddle and fondle. You can snark. Lovingly. Show your Casey love; you know it's there.

Look. We get that Casey’s odd, but here, that’s why we love her. Snark is fine, but do not flame. To distinguish the difference: snark would be poking fun at the Sex Crimes T-shirt. Flaming? Sheer glee at the “Night” beatdown. If you really don’t like her at all, this is not the place for you.
2. Thou shalt only ship Teh Casey
Keep out all other ships, including(especially) E/O,A/O. We don't need ship wars. You can bring on the HoYay, HetYay or NoYay, but only for Teh Casey.
3. Thou shalt not cyber-pelt other users with virtual olives
People. We’re all here in the name of love. Please be kind! We’re all friends! Love and hugs and kittens and hugs and puppies and love. And puppies.
sub-commandment 3.a: Thou shalt credit*
Credit users when you snag icons, banners, colour bars or any other forms of fanart/ fan fiction/ anything else that's not yours. We'll poke you if you don't.
4. Thou shalt not spoil other users
Use an LJ cut when you discuss spoilers. Spoilers are plotlines of, pictures or scenes or dialogue from, episodes that have yet to be aired. So if you understand from a reliable source that next week’s episode will include a Casey sexy dance in teh nude, say: “SPOILER!” and then use an LJ cut that says: “SPOILER!!!” and then, under the LJ cut, drool. Because Casey’s teh hawt.
An episode is still spoiler material for 2 days after it is aired. After that, it’s fair game.
5. Thou shalt not show disrespect for people’s friends pages
Practice safe posting. Use an LJ cut when posting large images or more than one image, or incredibly long posts of squealing fangirlism.
6. Thou shalt not use excessive netspeak
Use your prepositions. Make your post coherent and readable. Language is a beautiful thing. Show respect to it, and your fellow posters.
7. Thou Shalt Thread
Please, please, if something has already been posted - comment on that post! Don't make a new post! Imagine what would happen... if Diane Neal heard about this community and came to visit. She'd be all, "dude, these people are bad at organizing!" And she'd leave! But if she came here and she saw everyone were threading comments and sticking to the rules, she'd be happy and she'd probably dance. YAY! Dance!
8. Thou shalt learn how to use the LJ-cut
Please! It messes up some people's friends page layouts to post large pictures, plus they take forever to load. If you're posting one picture, there's no need to cut it unless it's huge (like a wallpaper or something). Samples are great- one pic or two icons and then cut the rest. Same goes for fics. Drabbles are ok, but anything longer (even if it's only 300 words) needs to go behind a cut. Also, PLEASE cut off topic stuff. Some of us don't mind off-topicness, but some people don't want it, so just put "OT" or "Off-Topic" in the cut. If you don't know how to do a cut, look here.
9. Thou shalt not poke the mods
Because the mods will poke you right back. The mods have fingers of steel. You may cuddle the mods.

Do you have a website? Great! We'd love to help you get some traffic. Have you found a website you think we'd be interested in? Tell us! We all need more stuff to do online. However, over-promoting is a bad, bad thing. Starting on June 7, 2006, we are limiting promotion to one post per site. All posts providing a website link will be archived in the memories section, so there is no need to keep promoting the same sites.
