About Me:

Well...I'd like to be a Human Rights Activist when I'm older, in a really strong way, My mum's attitude towards my Amnesty International enthusiasm provoked me to change the world for the better (she's rather bitchy about it)I'm kind of Middle-Left wing, If I could vote,I'd vote
Lib Dem...jeje!

Our school had an Amnesty International petition on Friday, I had my photo taken with my name on a board. the pictures of the people from our school will go on the Internet and, will be sent to New York for a debate!
Woo hoo!

Any Questions?

I also work with Amnesty International :] they're great.
I'm actually leaving in a week to attend their Youth Activist Kollege (YAK) in VA. That might be something you'd be interested in doing next summer. It's something like a human rights workshop. You can read a little bit about it here: http://www.kintera.org/site/c.kkI0LaMPJtE/b.1391471/k.BD9A/Home.htm

ps. I like that you mention language discrimination. I think that's a huge problem here.

Aww, thank you! I shall look it up, defintely!
And yes, language discrimination is a problem, one thing, because it's hardly ever noticed as a discrimination. George W. Bush promted me to think when he didn't allow the American National Anthem in Spanish. ¿Qué un cabrón?

The National Anthem thing was just kind of weird, I don't really know what he intended to accomplish by that. To me, that just seemed like the type of thing that makes very little practical and political sense or difference, but would probably be played up by all sides to the point of semi-absurdity...

Absolutely typical George .W Bush - Just starting things up for the sake of starting things up, even though the use of History and Statistics can forge against all accounts.

I believe that he tried to Ban gay marriage, where he very specifically mentioned San Francisco. I saw it coming; he should not have been allowed anywhere near the San Francisco Bay Area, atall.

Yeah, there's been at least one push for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage. Really, all it does is show that the "states rights" which the more evangelical conservatives claim to adhere to can be applied rather judiciously when it suits them.

Absolutely Correct!

Personally, I don't see what the fuss is about; the issue is brought up time and time again, yet, the real reason why the states continue to fight against gay marriage is totally unknown.

I was so pleased as to here that Dick Cheney has a lesbian daughter!
I could have chortled all day, but I had better things to do.

Sorry if you knew already: it seems you can help Amnesty International just by clicking at http://stopviolence.care2.com/ and seeing a page of ads (only one click per day per computer is counted). I have no way of checking if it's for real, but its sister site has received an A on the outdated page http://kimberlychapman.com/charitycheck/ ; and anyway, I hope such a large portal couldn't cheat without being caught.

Thank you so much...I've clicked!
3 letters? that's good!
And why shouldn't being able to help or get involved be that easy?
I like it, thank you.
