Hi! The French translation was updated, and Mass Encode tool is redesigned. And that's not all! "Functions - End of line" submenu has a new stuff because TEA now support MAC line endings. Test it because I've test it a few.
At the Search menu has a new command - Run grep. You can open results with TEA, double click on them at the Logmemo.
Now TEA uses zziplib instead of libzip. Sure, the zziplib dependency is optional. This library is needed for opening ZIP and ODT files. If TEA was built without zziplib, TEA uses the external gunzip for the similar purposes.
The "Save zipped" menu item was renamed to "Save packed". With it, you can quickky pack the current document with any external archiever. To redefine the command line for that, see Preferences - Interface - A command for Save packed.

Я установил Tea, понадобился спелчекер, Gentoo 2007.1

localhost # emerge tea -vp

Открываю текст, редактирую, проверяю правописание, использую подстановки из словаря. Но, когда в конце нажимаю Ctrl+S редактор моментально вылетает, ничего не сохраняя.

Тоже самое происходит если просто открыть файл и нажать Ctrl+S, не используя спелчека и не редактируя открытый текст вообще.

Если бы ребята из Gentoo не использовали недокументированные ключи sounds и hacking, TEA работал бы как надо. Проще установить TEA из исходника, причем на сайте выложена уже версия 17.1.4 - http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=153457

Ну, sound & hacking там отключены ("-sound -hacking"). А вообще так, мало ли, запостил.
