I need some help with artwork.
Sorry about this not being 100% tattoo but hey I've let others break my own rule and this was the best possible outlet I could think of ATM. Japanese Koi (1-3 max) w/ rising sun somehow incorporated into the picture. Generic looking down on view. Black and white outline drawing only. The amount will decide how big the finished piece will be. Thing is the design is not for a tattoo it will be going on a show car. I'm unemployed and dirt poor, I can't offer anything $$ but I can offer a lot of publicity. If you want advertising I can hand out anything and everything you can get to me. Okay, just wanted to get a quick opinion from you lovely people :) I'm going to get my tattoo touched up here soon. Some of the ink got displaced under the skin, and I just wanted to fix a few things. Ive been toying with the idea of adding some color, or adornment, since the tattoo is fairly simple. I considered coloring in the wings a light blue, or adding small little stars w/o outlines, but I wanted to get a general consensus of what you guys thought. Thanks!! ( Tattoo! ) |

Hi, I've been wanting to break into tattooing. I know an apprenticeship is recommended for learning but I want to get a tattoo gun and introduce myself in the mean time. familiarize myself, maybe practice on some pig skin. First Tattoo
I've always been the kind of person that says, "When an idea for a tattoo comes to me I will know what to get." And it did. It's a verse in sanskrit from the Bhagavad Gita. ( Read more... )In my mind, this is on my left shoulder blade in black. I wondered if anyone has any vertical script tattoos or just stories to share. This would be my first tattoo and I'm waiting another week to make my final decision. I only feel nervous because I just want to be able to express the right picture in my head to my artist. |

Okay so I'm getting my second tattoo sometime soon, it's going to be a cardinal for sure, but I have to incorporate the phrase "so it goes" somewhere in it too. I don't want my cardinal to have a ribbon saying it because I think that's a little overdone & just not my thing. My only other idea was having my cardinal on a branch with the words carved into the branch, I don't know if that's do-able though.
Anyone have other ideas? I'd love some input. Also, placement? I can't decide on a place. I already have one right under my bra line. Thanks in advanced (: |

Tribal or realism;
Hey, so I posted a while back with questions about good placement for tattoos and I've decided in November for my 23rd birthday I'm getting the tattoo I wanted of a sword and chalice, one on each shoulder. That gives me about 6 months to figure out designs.. and I'm having trouble deciding between a more simple, bold and tribal design or a more realistic design. They're going to be on my shoulders and I have very small arms, so the tattoos will probably be fairly small themselves, so do you think that a realistic design (black and silvers, shading, etc.) would look too blurry or like a blob if they're on a small scale? I'm also interested in seeing tattoo designs of swords/daggers and especially chalices because I can't find ANY. Does anyone have any good pictures or know where to find designs to look at for ideas? I found a good one online for a sword. I really like that it's simple but not cartoony. I'm looking for something with a kind of ancient style, whether tribal or realism. It will probably not have color and just be black. If anyone has any pictures or ideas I would greatly appreciate them! |

Show me your planetary tattoos
I've tried searching but have never come up with any results. Do you have any pictures of realistic-looking planet tattoos? I want it to look like it would through a telescope, not how it would look on the cover of a sci-fi novel. I'm wondering if I got Uranus or Venus or whatever tattooed if it would end up just looking like a bruise or a mole. |

tattoos and freckles
hey everyone! i've been lurking for a long time, but this is my first post because in two months, i am giving myself a tattoo as a birthday present! anyway, i was drawing out my design and i placed it up on my shoulder to see how it looked and it struck me, i am covered in freckles. literally, COVERED. so i am wondering, will this effect the coloring of my tattoo? or how it looks? |
